As we continue to grow and take on new challenges, we are seeking a talented Flight Control Engineer to join our team.

Desired Experience and Qualifications

While the following qualifications are desirable, applicants do not need to possess all of them:

  1. 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing and deploying GNC algorithms on large-scale aerial platforms.
  2. Proven ability to identify, model and simulate complex aerial systems.
  3. Strong background in control analysis and design.
  4. Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Matlab/Simulink, C, C++, and Python.
  5. Familiarity with common system engineering processes, specifically ARP4754.
  6. Preparation and support of flight test activities, including analysis of flight test results.
  7. Experience with Software in the Loop (SILS) and Hardware in the Loop (HILS) software validation.
  8. Strong desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  9. Target-oriented work style with strong analytic problem-solving skills.
  10. Previous experience modeling, analyzing, and controlling rotary-wing aircraft.
  11. Experience implementing GNC Software utilizing Model-Based Design best practices.
  12. Familiar with common flight control stability and performance requirement sources (Mill-STD-1797, ADS-33).
  13. Familiarity with aircraft software and hardware certification processes (DO-178C & DO-254).
  14. Experience with flight testing of highly control system dependent configurations of rotary-wing and fixed-wing unmanned systems.
  15. An Ultralight or PPL pilot license.
