We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Contracts Manager (Power Plants / Energy) who is driven by excellence and results. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts across our power generation portfolio, ensuring all contractual, commercial, and legal obligations are effectively handled. Role Description: Contract Management services, inclusive of (i) negotiating contracts and other contractual instruments (NDAs, MOUs, Power Purchase Agreements, etc.) with potential sellers/suppliers or relevant authorities; (ii) drafting and negotiating Consultancy Agreements, Supply Contracts and/or Construction Contracts/Sub-Contracts, LOAs/LOIs and other contractual instruments including collateral warranties, bank guarantees, parent company guarantees, etc. with the Consultants, Contractors and Sub-Contractors; (iii) assisting GM Operations/Department Head in preparing and responding to other parties’ claims (EoT, Prolongation, Abortive Works, Acceleration, etc.); (iv) assisting Department/Legal Head in preparing against and/or defending to other parties’ formal disputes (litigation/arbitration) and providing contemporary records; and (v) drafting contractual Correspondences. Responsibilities Adhering to organization's Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance; Negotiating contracts and other contractual instruments (NDAs, MOUs, Power Purchase Agreements, etc.) with potential sellers/suppliers; Drafting and negotiating Consultancy, Supply, Construction Contracts/Sub-Contracts/LOAs/LOIs/PPAs/LTSAs; Drafting and reviewing other contractual instruments including collateral warranties, bank guarantees, parent company guarantees, Letters of Credit, etc., Assisting GM Operations/Department Head in preparing against and defending to other parties’ formal disputes (litigation/arbitration) by assisting in preparing Statement of Claims, memorandums, etc. to serve company’s interest; Draft, review and respond to Contractual Correspondences in coordination with Operations Head/Executive Director/Project Managers and other stakeholders of the projects; Evaluating and defending the claims (Extension of Time, Disruption, Acceleration, Abortive Works) raised by the Suppliers, Contractors, Consultants, Contractors and/or Sub-Contractors; Advise on complex contractual matters (inclusive of suspension and termination scenarios) by purposing best suitable solutions to avoid/mitigate/transfer risks and protect organization from such risks; Must be well versed with FIDIC and/or other type of internationally accepted contract standards and capable to draft contracts and other contractual instruments.
