WhatYou WillDo:

As theHead of Service at Virga Labs you will beresponsible for managing a service portfolio and optimizingoperational You will lead the execution of service initiatives,guide the team of analysts, and modelers, remove roadblocks, andoversee the complete service life This role requires a highlystrategic and collaborative mindset combined with a strongbackground in professional services, project management,supervision of team members, and strategic resource

Youwill work closely with the CEO, be focused on oversight of existingservices, and work collaboratively with the Head of Development onthe deployment of product;

Duties&Responsibilities:
  • Leadexecution of services delivery in collaboration with the teamincluding planning and execution through the productand servicelifecycle
  • Leadtranslation of high-level project deliverables into workflows forthe team including scheduling when work will happen, outliningintermediate milestones, allocating team members’ time,and both high-level and detailed-level management ofprojects
  • Managemultiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources toeffectively meet all projectdeadlines
  • Supervisea remote servicesteam
  • Measureand monitor delivery progress to ensure deliverables are deliveredon time and meet or exceedexpectations
  • Document,communicate, and help organize all key project plans, commitments,and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scopechanges
  • Helpthe team to self-organize and create a culture of learning andtransparency
  • Proactivelymanage dependencies, identify obstacles or blockers, and help theteam to overcomethem
  • Participatein, and when necessary, lead conversations with current andprospectiveclients
  • Championstorytelling and communications initiatives for clients

  • 10+years of client services and/or project management experience,including strategic leadership andsupervision
  • Demonstrableexperience in communications, public relations, oradvertising
  • In-depthexperience with project management platforms andautomation
  • Experiencewith project management methods & tools (IE Gantt &Burndowncharts)
  • Experiencein direct team supervision andleadership
  • Strongproblem-solving skills and strategicacumen
  • Projectmanagement; will have demonstrated the ability to push projectsover the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution;will understand how to align resources, seek the input of keystakeholders, and manage others to achieve desiredresults
  • Abilityto think dynamically and respond quickly to an ever-changingworkload
  • Comfortcommunicating at both technical and executive levels of detail,especially when explaining complex topics to those new to thesubjectarea
  • Knowledgeof dynamics surrounding the Colorado River including the Law of theRiver and current State and Federal policies, western water orclimate is not required but is aplus
  • Comfortwith data management platforms, qualitative and qualitativeanalysis: R &/or Python language experience is aplus
  • Ifremotely located, willing to travel to Tucson, Arizona for meetingsand work sessions several times throughout a calendaryear
