Inorganic Geochemist

MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS:

• B.S. Degree in Geology,Petroleum Engineering or Petroleum Geology. PhD is geochemistry ishighly preferred.
• Seven years (7) experience ina substantive industrial, technological or laboratory area relevantto the job’s assignment.
• Expertise orworking knowledge in the following isrequired.
• Knowledge of relevant laboratory andanalytical techniques including scientific principles, calculationmethods, design details, and codes, standards, andspecifications.
• Skills in analysis of geofluidsusing pyrolysis, GC-MS, IRMS, MicroGC.
• Skillsin the analysis of rocks using petrographic microscopes, SEM, andEPMA is highly preferred. Experience with adsorption kinetics andisotherms is highly preferred.
• Experienceutilizing high pressure equipment.
• Candidateshould be comfortable in working independently or part of a projectteam, frequent project presentation and travel to meetings atconferences and universities. Must possess good work habits, astrong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours,policies, and standard businessetiquette.

BUSINESSCONTACTS:

• Contacts as appropriate tohis/her needs, all levels within Saudi Aramco and its subsidiariesand operating departments in discussions relating to specifictechnical problems. In civil engineering applications, theincumbent has daily contacts with both Company engineeringprincipals and with contractorengineers.
• Interact with industry and academiathrough society activities, Joint Industry Projects, partnerships,and consortia.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICALACTIVITY:

• Operates standard officeequipment, including but not limited to: personal computers,calculators, telephone, fax machine, copy machine,etc.
• Reads and comprehends published,handwritten, and typewritten materials, company forms, and computerprintouts.
• Proficient with word processing,spreadsheet, and database functions in the Windowsenvironment.
• Travels to meetings, seminars, andto vendor offices in Dhahran, Houston and throughout NorthAmerica.
