Assistant/Associate Professor in Public International Law Assistant and Associate Professor - Faculty Opportunities Abu Dhabi University is a global leader in research and teaching, and is ranked in the Top-250 in the latest 2026 Times Higher Education rankings. The College of Law at Abu Dhabi University is contributing to academic excellence nationally and internationally, and is ranked by subject in the top 251–300 globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject (Law). We are currently seeking a number of new Faculty and specifically in the areas of Penal Law; Administrative and Constitutional Law; Economics, Finance and Taxation Law; Law & Technology; and Commercial Law for Assistant and Associate Professor positions. The College of Law is a regional leader in legal education, offering a Bachelor of Law, a Master of Public Law, a Master of Private Law, and a Master of Laws (MLL) in Cyber Law and Artificial Intelligence, and a PhD in Law. Our programs are CAA and WASC-accredited. Our curriculum, primarily in Arabic with selected courses in English, reflects our commitment to academic excellence and cultural diversity. Applicants should be able to teach in English and Arabic, and applicants with English only are also encouraged to apply. Criteria you must have: Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered. 1. Minimum Years of Experience Required/ Nature of Relevant Experience Required a) Assistant and Associate Professor Have a doctoral or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution. Have demonstrated significant scholarly accomplishments appropriate to his/her discipline. He/she should have had at least eight years of full‑time teaching and research experience (with key research publications) to be considered for Associate Professor. Have demonstrated excellent teaching ability and shown continuing active engagement with students in and outside the classroom. 2. Special Skills and abilities Communication/Teaching Skills, Presentation Skills, Computer Skills (Microsoft Office) Have a teaching qualification or be willing to complete one under the UK HEA Fellowship Scheme. Demonstrated commitment to publishing Scopus publications. Clear engagement with research networks (evidence‑based). Demonstration of being a ‘good University citizen’ Applicants should submit online via the University link in English. If applying as an Associate Professor please list your Top‑10 Scopus publications with a 5‑line explanation for each of the ten papers of why it is a good contribution to academic literature.
