PositionOverview

ATechnician is responsible for the set up and operation of basic /small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment whileensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports toan Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, EventTechnology.

TheTechnical Lead is responsible for intermediate level set up andoperation of small to large-scale audiovisual systems in ahospitality environment while ensuring complete customersatisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager,Operations Director, or Director of EventTechnology.

KeyJobResponsibilities

EquipmentOperation

• Ensuresa flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup,operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listedin the technical qualificationssection.
  
• Troubleshoottechnical issues and resolve problems quickly as theyarise.
  
• Complieswith all Company security and safetymeasures.
  
• Ensuresequipment is secure from theft and/or damage when inuse.
  

CustomerService

• Strivesto exceed the expectations and needs of internal and externalcustomers.
  
• Maintainsa positive relationship with all clients through effectivecommunication.
  
• Meetswith guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and theequipment setup is workingproperly.
  
• Monitorsevents and checks in on customers throughout theday.
  
• Understandsand fosters the hotel/clientrelationship.
  

TechnicalAbility

• Understandsthe technical aspects of the job and demonstrates basic operationalability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment andsoftwareissues.
  
• Handlesequipment challenges and changes in a timely and professionalmanner.
  

SystemsKnowledge

• Understandscompany processes, follows procedures and completes systems entryand paperworkaccurately.
  
• Usesthe equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for setup and for strike. Interacts with other staff and outside vendorsforequipment.
  
• Increasesrevenue by utilizing floor up-sellingtechniques.
  
• Workswith clients to finalizeinvoices.
  
• Completesorder entries in Navigator, asneeded.
  

JobQualifications

• HighSchool Diploma required. Associate s degree ispreferred.
  
• AchieveTechnical Level 3 Certification per company Technical SkillsetMatrix within 180 days (Technical Skill Set Matrix or @/HR/GlobalLearning).
  
• 1+years of customer service or hospitality experience ispreferred.
  
• 1+years of audio visual experience or equivalent in educationalenvironment ispreferred.
  
• Avalid driver s license is required for team members that mayoperate Companyvehicles.
  
• AdditionalDOT requirement may need to be met ifapplicable.

WorkEnvironment

Workis performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderateexposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. Theworking conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisyvolumes. Team members will use high-end audio visual equipment andelectrical components, and will be exposed to heights via lifts andladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotellocations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-callstatus including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Teammembers must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by thecompany based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotelsin that city orarea.
