Job Descriptioncurrently looking for Civil Inspectors to support on a constructionsupervision project related to Sewerage and storm waterinfrastructure works. Some of the key job responsibilities of thisrole entail this following:

  • Technical Delivery:
  • Interacting withclients and contractor s staff to determine and verify projectrequirements.
  • Preparing inspection reports andsite records.
  • Performing civil and structuraltests.
  • Providing general inspection on allconstruction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professionalworkmanship.
  • Identifying nonconforming worksgenerating reports and corrective actions and coordinatingresponses.
  • Performs other responsibilitiesassociated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Collaboration and working as part of a team.
  • Work in conjunction with engineers to solve projectdesign problems performing basic design calculations asrequired.
  • Conduct technical feasibilitystudies and site investigations.
  • Liaison withteams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitatecompletion of tasks and project.
  • Goodcommunicator.
  • Client ServiceManagement
  • Internal and external clientliaison
  • Ability to build and maintain lastingand positive relationships
  • Experience inutility diversions and management
  • Follow safework practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies forplanning and executing work in a safe manner.
  • Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and inaccordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project QualityProcedures.
  • Other duties as requested fromtime to time by the Assistant Resident Engineer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering orequivalent degree in Engineering from a recognized institute to theapproval of the Engineer.
  • Must have 7 years ofwork experience in the construction and supervision ofinfrastructure works.
  • Experience ofinfrastructure networks in the emirates of Dubai.
  • Experience in Survey work with modern instruments and inkeeping site measurement records.
  • Experiencein dealing with existing infrastructure services.
  • Solid experience in maintaining relevant records andgenerating reports.
