Amazon is looking fora Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to add to the team:

Yearonyear as we continue to grow we need towork as smart as we can to keep all our team members safe fulfilledmotivated and empowered. To help us achieve this were seeking adriven WHS Officer. With your Bias for Action well need you to stepin and help drive health and safety across our delivery stations inAbu Dhabi / Dubai.

In this crucial WHSposition youll report to the Country WHS Manager.

  • Lead site riskassessments for current and new activities.
  • Establish site WHS training matrix.
  • Lead implementation of site specific WHS standards andguidelines.
  • Lead implementation of site WHSobjective and programs.
  • Promote safe cultureamong employees by providing daily WHS content to shiftbriefing/standup meeting.
  • Perform frequentsite safety audits to identify all noncompliance equipment and/orprocesses at the site. Work with Operations team to implementsolutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and preventinjury.
  • Conduct daily and weekly WHS auditssuch as GEMBA walks area audits vehicle and driver inspectionsetc.
  • Attending to incidents and occupationalinjury cases on site.
  • Guide and assist areamanagers on incident investigations Gensuite write up andcommunication of lesson learned.
  • Assisting Opsteam in Gensuite follow up sheet and CAPA creation. Auditrecordkeeping practices and ensure Gensuite entries to be alignedwith global WHS standards and local regulations.
  • Ensure the PPE inventory at site and coordinate withprocurement for order placement.
  • Ensure basicfire fighting training and first aid trainingcompletion.
  • Complete daily Trailer DockRelease (TDR) inspections and communications.
  • Daily Action Tracking System monitoring closeout andsupport.
  • Participate in site management safetywalk provide insight into unsafe acts and conditions tomanagement.
  • Provide daily update to CountryWHS Manager on objectives progress incidents AOs ATS networkactions etc).
  • Preparation of WHS committeemeeting agenda MOM write up ATS creation.
  • Daily Permit to Work review and sign off working with theoperational and facilities team.
  • Lead on WHSrelated procurement and follow up on site.
  • Preparing risk assessments and emergency responseplans.
  • Managing preparation and completion ofemergency drills medievac drills and preparing drillrecords.
  • Heat Index establishment monitoringand support.
  • Provide support to site specificrequests unplanned events and activities.
  • Onthe Road experience
  • Excellent with computersand data analysis

  • Experiencedin emergency response and currently holds First aid and CPRcertificates
  • Analyzing and manipulatingdata
  • Passion for safety
  • Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety orEngineering/Science bachelor degree
