Genesis AI team is focused ondeveloping foundation models for drug discovery by conductingfundamental research at the intersection of machine learning,physics, and computational chemistry, as well as engineering robustsoftware systems that enable running large scale simulations andtraining generative and predictive AI models designed to learn fromall kinds of molecular data, leveraging our cluster with 1000s ofGPUs and 10,000s of CPUs.
AboutThe Role
We’reseeking an experienced ML Research Scientist to shape and lead theML research agenda for generative modeling of molecular systems,which is instrumental to our mission. You will be at the forefrontof pioneering research initiatives, driving the continuousevolution and enhancement of our AI platform, while collaboratingwith exceptional engineers, researchers, and a team of biochemistryexperts.
Positions are available at variouslevels of seniority: Senior, Staff, andPrincipal.
Youwill
- Leadtransformative research projects that enhance the Genesis AIplatform's capabilities, focusing on generative models formolecular systems.
- Navigate the latest deeplearning literature, extracting insights from generative modelingin adjacent domains (language, images, 3D graphics, etc.), developnovel models and training techniques for molecular data, andcommunicate your findings to theteam.
- Carefully design and run experiments atscale to validate most promising approaches and work closely withengineers to ship state-of-the-art models toproduction.
- Contribute to the researchcommunity by publishing some of our findings in the form ofresearch papers and blog posts at top tier AI/ML venues (NeurIPS,ICML, ICLR, etc.), attending conferences and workshops, andengaging in continuous learning and knowledgeexchange.
- Have the opportunity to mentor andguide more junior members of our technical team as well as researchinterns, fostering an environment of growth andinnovation.
Youare
- A deeplearning expert with a track record of doing novel research in oneor more of the following domains: denoising diffusion, normalizingflows, flow matching, neural ODEs and SDEs, or other cutting edgegenerative or predictive machine learningmodels.
- Independent thinker with a strong senseof ownership and capability of driving research ideas fromfirst-principles-based conceptualization to state-of-the-artrealization.
- Strong coder who is not afraid ofdeep dives into engineering whenevernecessary.
- Curious, problem-oriented thinkerwho is excited to dive deep into the emerging field at theintersection of AI, physics, chemistry, and biology and makefoundational contributions and discoveries (no previous experiencein anything but ML necessary).
Nice tohaves
- PhDin machine learning, computer science, other computational sciencesor equivalent research experience and strong publication record attop tier ML venues are preferred.
- Hands-onexperience with some of the core libraries we use: Pytorch, PytorchLightning, Pytorch Geometric.
- Experience indistributed training and inference of large models on GPUclusters.
- Experience working with some of thefollowing: molecular systems (protein sequences and 3D structures,small molecules, etc.), ML force fields or other physics-informedmodels and methods, or point cloud data in other applicationdomains, such as 3D graphics.
