Project Engineer

Purpose of the position As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Aramco Project. Key Offshore Systems Field layout Platform configuration Topsides modularization Constructability and hook-up Critical assessment of the design to get added value for use of internal asset / capacity of fabrication and installation. Coordinate and supervise the engineering activities related to offshore platform, systems and modules. Interface with Technical / operational multidisciplines that are critical for the Project. Project Phases Responsibilities Play own role during the project phases that normally are: field development studies, screening studies / conceptual design, feasibility studies / basic design, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), bid engineering for commercial proposal development, project execution. Execution Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the execution of engineering activities of competence, related to a defined offshore system. Plan and control engineering activities of competence in the relevant project assuring the right interfaces between the part of competence and the rest of the project. Ensure that proper communications is set among the various disciplines involved in the defined offshore system of competence with the aim to find optimized, integrated solutions and common approaches. Ensure the carrying out of the system engineering activities, functional to the execution of detailed design, procurement of materials and construction services. Identify areas of optimization involving engineering disciplines, installation engineer, construction engineer. Propose optimized engineering solution aiming to identify the platform configuration to be transported, installed and hooked-up with available marine vessels; minimize offshore Hook-up and optimize construction sequences and methodology. Interface with the fabrication and installation team to review the design for constructability and installation aspects. Monitor the weight of items to be lifted and assure that the not to be exceeded weight is under control. Ensure the preparation of procurement and construction documents, giving the correct priority and sequences, in accordance with defined plans and consistent with the construction and installation schedule. Ensure the engineering reviews and application of the contractual documents within own area of responsibility. Support the project management functions in individuating and documenting any potential variation order to be presented to the Client for acceptance. Ensure that, within own area of responsibility, proper interdisciplinary verifications and controls take place during the development of engineering activities with the scope to minimize changes during construction. Agree with Fabrication yard/s the key dates for transmission of engineering documents Approved For Construction (AFC) and prepare and activate recovery plans when needed. Contribute to project reporting for the relevant engineering part. Elaborate specific plans within own area of responsibility to monitor and control the progress and the schedule of the activities of competence. Support the operations team during fabrication, installation and start up phases. Be responsible for the collection of red mark-up engineering documents in the construction yard. Support Field Engineering Manager ensuring the availability of the necessary engineering documents within own area. PMP Certification required PMP Certification required.
