We are seeking aPlacement Internship Manager to joinan internationaluniversity inRAK.


ThePlacement & Internship Manager must obtainemployment and experiential opportunities in business industryacademia for students in all programs of the university. To counselprepare and enhance hiring potential of students new graduates intothe job market. To assist in the internships and placement ofstudents.


Duties&Responsibilities

  • Develop andmaintain relationships with external stakeholders including butnot
  • limited topotential employers alumni and local industry in coordination withOutreach andEngagement.
  • Making asubstantial contribution to the University s marketing activitiesby assisting Marketing Head in arranging School events/seminars/promoting events and exploring new areas engagement for thedifferentsegments
  • Strategize andachieve successful career outcomes for the graduating class througha robust campus recruitmentprocess.
  • Plan and engagewith corporates for strategic activities including guest lecturespanel discussions conclaves workshops competitionsetc.
  • Manage andsupport student career services including career counsellinggrooming and helping in the preparation of students for facinginterviews.
  • Act as the firstpoint of contact to employers and external stakeholders forinternship/work placementopportunities.
  • Support with thedevelopment of annual plans to develop and expand employmentopportunities for students and graduates within thecampus.
  • Liaise withemployers and other external stakeholders to scheduleoncampus
  • recruitmentevents.
  • Develop maintainand communicate an uptodate calendar for annual work placementevents and career fairsorganised.
  • Coordinateoutreach programmes targeted at potential employers alumni parentsand other external stakeholders with the aim to increase employmentopportunities forstudents.
  • Developnecessary materials with the aim to increase awareness of andpromote placement opportunities tostudents.
  • Lead thedevelopment of a comprehensive career development servicesprogramme including but not limited to resume developmentnetworking opportunities mock interview opportunities careerplanning workshopsetc.
  • Monitor the effective and efficient placement of students duringthe academic year in compliance with work placementschedules.
  • Liaise withemployers to provide necessary information and documentationrelated tostudents.
  • Assess studentsperformance during work placement activities throughthe
  • development ofregular periodic work assessment reports; assessments include butare not limited to sitevisits periodic reports and direct feedbackfromemployers.
  • Monitor thesuccess rate of graduate placement and develop action plansaccordingly.
  • Develop andpresent reports to share key insights and opportunities (e.g.employment trends job market landscape placement statisticsetc.).
  • Must have goodnetwork connection in the corporate HRcommunity.


Requirements
  • Any relevantDegree.
  • Minimum 68 yearof previous events planning experience as Manager in UAE Universityis amust.
  • Knowledge ofIndustry demographics will be an addedadvantage
  • Excellent activelistening verbal and written communication and interpersonalskills.
  • Strong connectwith UAE corporate companies/Recruitment companiesetc
  • Ability to workboth independently and as part of ateam.
  • Ability toestablish priorities manage shifting priorities and handle numeroustimesensitive projects with multipledeadlines.
  • Ability to workin complex and multifacetedenvironment.
  • Demonstratecreativity thoughtful problem solving skills taking initiativesolid judgment and decisionmakingskills.
  • Strong planning and people readingskills.
  • Ability tomultitask and stayorganized.
  • Willingness toguide others and provide ongoing support as they make importantdecisions.
