Your Responsibilities Support overall daily management of operational duties, deputizing for the Operations Manager as and when required. Prioritise and continually improve safety at the delivery station. Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to ensure every shipment is delivered meeting and exceeding set operational KPIs. Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coach them when needed, partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations. Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise the bar on quality of their deliverables. Interview candidates for associate roles. Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, ensuring administrative tasks are accurately and fully completed. Measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics, assisting the Operations Manager with tracking, trending and reporting on site performance regularly. Assist with training and mentoring new associates to provide knowledge needed to carry out tasks. Follow‑up on and resolve process‑related issues as required. Perform physical activities such as pushing carts up to 100 lbs and lifting packages up to 15 kg. Remain flexible for different shifts and overtime when needed. Resource the function from the operations side: training needs, absences, performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
