As a Cardio Thoracic Surgeon you willspecialize in the surgical treatment of diseases affecting theheart lungs esophagus and other thoracic organs. You will perform avariety of complex surgical procedures including coronary arterybypass grafting valve repair/replacement thoracic tumor resectionand lung transplantation. Your expertise will contribute toimproving patient outcomes advancing surgical techniques andpromoting thoracic health within ourinstitution.

  • Performcomprehensive evaluations of patients with cardiothoracic diseasesincluding coronary artery disease valvular heart disease thoracictumors congenital heart defects and esophagealdisorders.
  • Collaboratewith multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists pulmonologistsoncologists anesthesiologists and other surgical specialists todevelop comprehensive treatment plans for complex cardiothoracicconditions.
  • Performa wide range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures includingcoronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) heart valverepair/replacement aortic surgery arrhythmia surgery lung resectionthoracic tumor excision and esophagealsurgery.
  • Utilizeadvanced surgical techniques and technologies including minimallyinvasive approaches robotic surgery and imageguided procedures tooptimize surgical outcomes and minimize patientmorbidity.
  • Providepreoperative counseling and education to patients and theirfamilies regarding surgical procedures risks benefits andpostoperative recoveryexpectations.
  • Performsurgical consultations and provide expert guidance to referringphysicians healthcare professionals and patients regarding surgicaltreatment options andrecommendations.
  • Participatein oncall coverage schedules to provide timely evaluation andmanagement of cardiothoracic surgical emergencies such as acutemyocardial infarction aortic dissection pulmonary embolism andthoracictrauma.
  • Engagein clinical research and scholarly activities to advance the fieldof cardiothoracic surgery including participation in clinicaltrials outcomes research and publication of scientificfindings.
  • Mentorand supervise surgical trainees including residents fellows andallied healthcare professionals in the performance ofcardiothoracic surgical procedures and patientcare.
  • Maintainaccurate and timely documentation of surgical proceduresperioperative care and patient outcomes in electronic medicalrecords in compliance with regulatory requirements andinstitutionalpolicies.

Minimum5years experiencein a hospital environment Western and Asian countries experience ispreferred. Asians with Gulf experience ispreferred.
Demonstratedexpertise in performing a wide range ofcardiothoracic surgical procedures with proficiency in both openand minimally invasivetechniques.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Officesuite
Fluency in written andspoken English
MOH registeredPreferred
Ability to multitaskprioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fastpacedenvironment.
Willing to workflexible hours as and whenrequired
