We are looking for a FrontendEngineer join a team that builds a programming language runtime forenabling interactivity and reactivity within the Amazon store. Youwill lead projects and partner with other teams to design, build,and evolve this system. You will have the opportunity dive deepinto distributed systems that serve hundreds of thousands oftransactions per second.

Key jobresponsibilities

As a Frontend Engineer youwill use a combination of industry popular and Amazon proprietarysoftware to build capabilities for evolving how experiences arebuilt on the Amazon website. You will have the opportunity toeffect worldwide and Amazon-wide impact like latency optimizationto speed up the shopping experience for our customers. You willfocus on testability, scalability, maintainability, code quality,and cogent design, and help raise the bar for the team'sdevelopment in thisaspect.

About TheTeam

This team sits within theAuthoring Foundation org. Authoring Foundations is at the base ofthe Amazon's Store Architecture. Our mission is to simplifyhow Store Builders build portable and interactive frontendcomponents, features, and experiences on the Amazon Store byproviding a world-class programming languageexperience.

We foster an inclusive, andexciting team environment, all while tackling challenging andcomplex problems that will set the stage for how Store Builderscreate new experiences on the Amazon App andWebsite.

San Francisco, CA,USA

BasicQualifications

  • 2+ years of non-internshipprofessional front end, web or mobile software development usingJavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
  • 1+ years ofcomputer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, datastructures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexityanalysis) experience
  • Experience usingJavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

PreferredQualifications

  • 1+ years of agile softwaredevelopment methodology experience
  • Experiencewith common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS,TypeScript, and Node
