JOB PURPOSE:

Support the Store Manager in supervising the store and maintain company interest and profitability. Ensuring all areas are professionally managed/organized and a high degree of customer care, quality, and cost control measures are achieved. Oversees the operation of a retail store and managing team members.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop as well as driving sales, keeping costs in line with the budget.
  2. Help the Store Manager with the unit's cash handling.
  3. Forecast sales, focusing on productivity to meet the sales goals. Achieve total sales ahead of budget.
  4. Exceed budgeted managed contribution.
  5. Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers.
  6. Have a strong leadership presence and control in-store, ensuring that all customers receive good service and quality merchandise.
  7. Coach and guide the staff for product knowledge and upcoming new products.
  8. Prepare daily and monthly reports as required.
  9. Perform monthly inventory and monitor stock levels whenever required.
  10. Responsible for ordering of stocks weekly replenishment.
  11. Plan, coordinate, and execute all merchandise calendar direction, sales marketing, and promotions in a timely manner.
  12. Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company's standards.
  13. Maintain awareness of market trends in the same industry, understanding forthcoming customer needs and monitor what the local markets are doing.
  14. Receive regular vendor deliveries and stock the sales floor in a timely manner.
  15. Manage and control damages and loss in the store.
  16. Know the store business SWOT analysis well.
  17. Comply with all SOPs as detailed in the operation manual.
  18. Maintain discipline in the store at all given times.
  19. Maintain a peaceful relationship within the team & promote camaraderie.
  20. Identify training needs and provide ongoing training opportunities to the team as needed.
  21. Support all members of the team to reach their full potential and create opportunities to develop team members' careers.
  22. Work within established guidelines and policies for training and development.
  23. Demonstrate desired behaviors for staff including driving sales, handling difficult or complicated sales, and following up with customers.
  24. Maintain strict levels of confidentiality regarding all areas of the business, particularly commercial information and personal details of employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any related field.
  • Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge in team management.
  • Good financial skills and business acumen (P&L).
