Design Engineer

  • Assist with the development ofdesign concepts, carrying out detailed design of bridges,underpasses, rail structures and other infrastructurestructures.
  • Produce detailed design informationincluding calculations and designsketches.
  • Liaise with CAD/BIM Technician forproduction of drawings.
  • Plan and carry out siteinspections of structures, if required.
  • Preparetechnical reports.
  • Carry out risk assessmentsand provision of design information for Health and Safetyfile.
  • Inspection, assessment and strengtheningof road/rail bridges and otherstructures.
  • Report writing and production oftechnical reports and documents.

Specific SkillsRequired

  • Must haveminimum relevant experience between 2 to 8 years of hands onexperience in design of Bridges, underpasses and otherinfrastructure structures. UAE/ME projects experience would bepreferred.
  • Shows willingness and enthusiasm,actively contributes.
  • Supports colleagues, seenas a team player
  • Relevant experience ininspection and assessment of bridges and other transportationstructures is preferable.
  • Verifies that workcarried out is correct as per clientrequirement.
  • Knowledge sharing to juniorengineers.
  • Experience with various softwarepackages for analysis and design such as Midas, STAAD, SAP, RMBridges.
