Responsibilities:

Teachingandlearning:

  • Demonstratinga clear understanding of the Curriculum for effectiveimplementation to match learningoutcomes.
  • Teaching using appropriateMOE syllabus materials and schemes ofwork.
  • Organizing the classroomprovision and learning resources and creating displays to encouragea positive and engaging learningenvironment.
  • Planning preparing andpresenting sessions that cater to the needs of the whole abilityrange within the class.
  • To plan MOElessons and sequences of lessons consistently and effectively inthe long medium and shortterm to meet pupils individual learningneeds.
  • Creating a climate forlearning that is conducive to delivering outstandingpractice.
  • Motivating students bydelivering enjoyable and creative lessons that both challengepupils and promote criticalthinking.
  • Observing and assessingpupils in line with schoolassessments.
  • Being reflective of theclassroom provision sessions taught progress made and adjusting theenvironment planning and curriculum to reflectthis.
  • Supporting SEN (POD) EAL andG&T students and ensuring that their needs are met throughdifferentiation.
  • Meeting with otherprofessionals such as speech and language therapists occupationaltherapists and educational psychologists if required to best caterto diverse learning needs ofpupils.
  • Facilitating Hybrid /Distance Learning / Face to Facelessons.
  • language for learning andattitudes are being embedded throughout thecurriculum.


Assessmentand data:

  • Takingresponsibility for student progress of the class. Consistently andeffectively making use of data relating to student s priorattainment to set wellgrounded expectations/targets for pupilsmonitor their progress and to give clear and constructivefeedback.
  • Meeting requirements forassessments and recording students development using TargetTracker.
  • Using data gathered fromassessments to inform decisions regarding further planningprovision andinterventions.
  • Providing feedback toparents and carers on students progress and development at ParentTeacher conferences and meetings(PTMs).


Behaviourmanagement andduties:

  • Followthe school s established policies and procedures e.g. behaviourcode of conduct and child safeguardingpolicy.
  • Manage classes effectivelyusing approaches which are appropriate to students needs in orderto inspire motivate and challengepupils.
  • Maintain good relationshipswith pupils exercise appropriate authority and act decisively whennecessary within the school s establishedpolicies.
  • Be a positive role modeland demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes values andbehaviour which are expected ofpupils.
  • Have high expectations ofgood conduct promoting selfcontrol and independence of alllearners.
  • To ensure a safe andsecure environment that allows for appropriate social emotional andacademic growth for allstudents.
  • Carry out duties asdirected and within the school s establishedpolicies.


Widerprofessionalresponsibilities:

  • Towork as part of a curriculum action group supporting planningassessment resources and special events linked to theteam.
  • Support in organizing andtaking part in school events outings and extracurricular activities(ECAs) which may take place after schoolhours.
  • Communicate effectively withparents/carers with regards to student s achievements and wellbeingusing school systems/processes such as CPOMS asappropriate.
  • Make a positivecontribution to the wider life and ethos of theschool
  • Takeinitiative of own professional development to secure high qualityteaching and for successful execution of roles andresponsibilities.
