Freelance English Language Teacher (UAE) Amideast RAK City, Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates Position Description Amideast is seeking a freelance English Language Teacher in RAK to lead a full training course based on Amideast standards. The role will focus on after‑school and weekend sessions, improving students’ English skills and preparing them for more advanced levels and competitive examinations. Responsibilities Apply best teaching methods to meet attendee needs and keep sessions interactive. Create and maintain a clear course and lesson plan. Teach English language skills, TOEFL ITP/IBT, GRE/GMAT verbal reasoning, and analytical writing. Plan, design, and deliver training sessions on relevant topics. Demonstrate strong classroom and online training, planning, and interpersonal skills. Encourage student interaction, reading, and course‑related research. Assign homework, grade assignments, and track student progress. Maintain daily attendance sheets and report progress to the Program Manager. Conduct assessments per Amideast Monitoring and Evaluation standards and submit reports. Deliver teaching hours as scheduled, unless mutually agreed to change. Respond to student questions using reliable scientific references. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. TESOL/TEFL/TESL/CELTA/DELTA certification. Minimum four years of experience teaching English. Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills. Comfortable working with students at various levels. Familiarity with online training tools and applications. Preferred Experience teaching English for standardized tests. Fluency in Arabic and English. Work Environment Professional office setting with computer (laptop or desktop). Printer/photocopier/scanner/fax access. Telephone.
