Responsibilities
  1. You are responsible to assist the departments in the operation of all computer hardware and/or software installation and maintenance.
  2. Serve as secondary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware and/or software.
  3. Responsible for managing technology/asset life-cycle. Ensures that necessary equipment (PCs, servers, telecom-related etc.) is ordered and available.
  4. Accountable for disaster recovery and business continuity as it relates to technology.
  5. Foresees, identifies and resolves system(s) performance problems.
  6. Ensures technology assets are secure and well-maintained in accordance with Sofitel policies and standards.
  7. Installs, monitors, maintains telecommunications equipment including cabling and providing technical guidance as needed.
  8. Performs adds/moves/changes/deletions.
  9. Supports end-user company provided mobile phone issues.
  10. Troubleshoots high-speed Internet access problems.
  11. Escalates problems as appropriate through IT Manager.
  12. Images desktops, installs new software applications, applies patches, maps drive to correct server/network.
  13. Supports the Hotel in resolving Hardware issues through escalation of issues with Hardware partners.
  14. Ensures that all Accor IT Policies and Guidelines are being applied in the hotel.
  15. Moves/adds/changes PCs/peripherals; migrating data when necessary.
  16. Maintain a full inventory of all Hardware and software related supplies.
  17. Maintain a log of all computer hardware and a log of all services calls on computer hardware.
  18. Manage the configuration records, programme files and data files on the computer system.
  19. Monitor the performance of the computer software and maintain a log of performance reports, error and integrity check reports, system malfunctions and solutions.
  20. Install and test corporate approved applications changes to the hotel computer systems.
  21. Implement Preventive Maintenance for all IT hardware & Software on timely basis.
  22. Will be fully in-charge of IT Dept. and all of its related issues in the absence of the IT Manager / Department Head.
  23. Checking daily backups, all system interfaces, server hardware and logs.
  24. The management of the IT Agent/IT Specialist involves assigning daily tasks, providing training on all necessary theoretical and practical procedures, and offering troubleshooting and support in line with corporate standards.
  25. Follow up all claims that are being forwarded to IT Dept.
  26. Document, archive all correspondence and troubleshooting, follow up suppliers visits and maintenance.
  27. Must have very good knowledge in LAN, Security, Wireless, IP Telephony, Paytrax, Micros, Fidelio, Opera, Sun System, various hospitality solutions and software.
  28. Must be an example of the Sofitel Values, Brand Standards, and a champion of appearance & hygiene guidelines.
  29. Implements guidelines, policies and procedures for those operating departments according to Sofitel Guidelines & Standards.
  30. To ensure that he/she provides a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
  31. Ensures that any given timeline is strictly followed.
  32. Ensures that the daily IT procedures are completed on a timely basis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in any related field.
  • Previous hotel IT experience preferred.
  • Strong guest orientation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and strong leadership.
