Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Engineering will be responsible for identifying short- and long-term technological solutions and will play a crucial role in setting the company's technology strategy.

As a member of the executive leadership team; the VP of Engineering will focus on building a high-caliber tech culture, and vision, optimizing digital experience, improving existing systems, and will direct all Justlife folks in software development, mobile development, architecture, and quality assurance teams full of A players.

What we expect from you:
  1. Improve the digital experience of Justlife web and app users through product / technology improvements via software development.
  2. Work closely with the Product organization to build effective cross-functional teams to ship products and features in line with the company's goals.
  3. Collaborate and form partnerships with external & internal stakeholders to drive technology roadmap.
  4. Create an environment that promotes engineering excellence by attracting and retaining high-performing talent from diverse backgrounds and designing effective organizational structure, processes, systems, and tools.
  5. Identify opportunities to implement emerging technologies into Justlife's existing practices and operations.
  6. Unlock Justlife's potential to innovate and differentiate itself from competition.
  7. Optimize financial aspects of technology development and implementation by managing operating and capital budgets.
What we are looking for:
  1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  2. 8 to 10 years of managerial experience in high revenue and online traffic generating / driving marketplace or e-commerce companies.
  3. Significant experience in building complex, large-scale internet / digital-based systems, high-performing marketplace applications, and development of applications and platform components.
  4. Overseeing all technical aspects and managing multiple complex tech projects simultaneously that might include directing business technologies, software development, and vendor / supplier management across multiple countries.
  5. In-depth knowledge of software engineering development lifecycle, web systems architecture, design and development of complex and highly scalable products using multiple technologies and languages.
  6. Agile methodology, program management, and engineering execution skillset.
  7. Experience in hiring, building, and leading top-notch engineering teams.
  8. Strong relationship management (3rd party / vendors), strategy development, project management, problem-solving, and change management skills.
  9. Solid understanding and interpretation of business models and the application of technology to implement and thereafter streamline them.
  10. Integrating technology-based activities into the corporate strategy through effective relationships with key people throughout the company.
  11. Exceptional technical and non-technical presentation and communication skills.
