What You WillDo

  • Workingwith operating technicians, mechanics, engineers, and other teammembers to improve reliability and performance of millequipment
  • Installing equipment at the componentlevel while adhering to all state and plant codes, policies, andprocedures
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, andmaintaining machinery and electrical equipment in accordance withdiagrams, sketches, operating manuals, and manufacturersspecifications. Equipment includes but is not limited to motors,pneumatic components, conveyor systems and productionmachines
  • Operating hand tools, power tools andprecision measuring tools and testing instruments for repairs andcalibration
  • Maintaining and improving thereliability of all plant equipment through the use of the MP2 workorder system and repair records
  • Respond toplant electrical and maintenance issues
  • Shareknowledge with other technicians regarding maintenance andtroubleshooting of equipment

Who You Are (BasicQualifications)

  • Three years of electrical and/orinstrumentation experience in a manufacturing or industrialenvironment
  • Experience working with computersfor record-keeping and documentationfunctions
  • Strong troubleshooting skills usingPLC’s
  • Experience in working with& troubleshooting electrical systems that use 480V, 3 Phaseand lower voltages
  • Experience installing,troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electrical/mechanicalinstrumentation

What Will Put YouAhead

  • Experience working with RSLogix5000,RSLinx and control logix
  • Experience workingwith variable frequency drives and servodrives
  • Experience with systems integrationi.e.: PLC, HMI, Instrumentation, Networking, Communication andPower Distribution
  • Experience reading technicaldrawings, electrical and pneumaticschematics
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code(NEC)
  • Experience troubleshooting bearings,chains, sprockets, gearboxes, andconveyors
  • Experience/knowledge of RosemountTransmitters
  • Experience/knowledge of 4-20 macontrol
