Job Summary:Work independently and supervise contractors and teams working atheights on different client sites within Africa. Responsible forcontrolling the projects within the allocated project timeframes,specifications and ensure teams comply with both quality and safetystandards and regulations. Responsible for erection, maintenance onmasts and assisting with instrumentinstallations.


Educational& KnowledgeRequirements:

Valid driver s License Code08

Minimumof 2 years in the construction industry with experience ofsupervising construction-relatedprojects

Willing to work away from home for extendedperiods

Pre-employment Medically fit certificate to work at heights andextreme weatherconditions

N3 Technical/Mechanical Qualification, or similar that shows anunderstanding of other disciplines like, mechanical, technicalinstrumentation or electronics from a constructionperspective

Intermediate level in MSOffice

Soundknowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act,ConstructionRegulations

CoreFunctions:

Inspects work in progress to ensure conformity with QA/QCspecifications and requirements, Industry Codes, Standards andProcedures, client requirements and provide technical incite on thesubjectmatter.

Provide technical support within Obelisk by advising the resourceneeds, procurement of tools and materials to be delivered atspecific times in order to conform to the workloads, plans andschedules.

Supervise and conduct works scopes, such as site surveys,inspections, maintenance, installations and decommissioning of metmasts and various additional works in accordance with relevantclient requirements and technical specifications, within a highlevel ofquality.

Submit all supporting project documentation within the expectedtimelines as set out by company policies and clientrequests.

Ensure accurate, timely recording and delivery of a collection ofwork progress and reports at a high level of quality, during dailyprogress reports, work reportsand

Reporton updates on the project developments to the Project Manager andescalate delays and critical issues as prescribed by companypolicy.

Workwith Project Managers by coordinating and planning projectsaccording to customer requirements, to achieve project outcomes anddeadlines.

Obtain required stakeholder approvals as required to manage theproject progression and complete allocated tasks, escalate delaysand critical risks asprescribed.

Control and maintain tools, equipment and required resourcesallocated to your projects, in line with company policies andprocedures, while controlling project costs andexpenses.

Control and coordinate teams, to compete for work scopes on variousconstruction sites within the required deadlines, by sustainingwork efficiency and productivity of the teams until projectcompletion.

Ensure that all construction activities within the designated areasare well planned, coordinated while utilizing all availableresources in coordination with Project Managers in directing andsupervising all involved site personnel andsubcontractors.

Monitor and control team s work quality and effectiveness in andaround work scopes and provide feedback tomanagement.

Control, analysis and report on all safety aspects on the projectand provide written reports on any discrepanciestherewith.

Complies with the highest level of quality, health, safety andenvironmental standards during all stages of project execution andpro active with safety groups and subcontractors to promote safeand hazardous free work within the designatedarea.
