Dubai English Speaking School - College is seeking a Head of Psychology for a January 2027 start.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree in Psychology, Sociology or a closely related discipline.
PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum of three years' successful teaching experience in Psychology, preferably at Key Stage 5.
Experience of teaching, or a willingness and ability to lead the introduction of A Level Sociology.
Demonstrable track record of securing excellent outcomes at GCSE and/or A Level.
Experience of curriculum development and improvement within a secondary or post-16 setting.
Evidence of successful leadership experience or significant leadership contribution within a department.
Strong understanding of current educational research, assessment practices and evidence-informed pedagogy.
Commitment to continuing professional development in both subject expertise and leadership.

Inspirational leader with the ability to motivate, support and develop others.
Passionate advocate for Psychology and the wider social sciences, with the vision to establish and grow A Level Sociology.
Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and external partners.
Resilient, adaptable and able to lead effectively through change and innovation.
