Technical Architects at Discoverdevelop technology strategies and future state architectures thatenable value streams and product teams to deliver industrydifferentiating solutions. We combine deep technical domainunderstanding with a broad view of organizational concernsincluding business acumen, security, compliance, and productdelivery. Actively manages and escalates risk andcustomer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role tomanagement.

Responsibilities

  • Designs with PCI / regulatoryrequirements within their technology and productspace
  • Delivers architectures that balance risk,security and operational excellence
  • Services asa thought leader within their domain orproduct
  • Keeps abreast of industry changesacross their product family. Assesses relative merits of technologymaturity against Discovers needs
  • Demonstratesdeep understanding of technical domain (e.g., computer, networkcloud, API, frameworks, etc.)
  • Createsbig-picture design view of productportfolio
  • Guides evaluation of currenttechnology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existingstandards and frameworks

MinimumQualifications

Ata minimum, here’s what we need fromyou:

  • Bachelors – ComputerScience or related
  • 8+ Years –Software Development, Software Engineering, Technical Architectureor related
  • Internal applicants only: technicalproficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus architecturescale

PreferredQualifications

  • Hands-on practical experiencedelivering system design, application development, and operationalstability.
  • Ability to evaluate current andemerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions forthe future state architecture
  • Strong experiencein cloud architecture, design, and costoptimization/blueprints.
  • Experience working asa Cloud Architect
  • Kafka background(hosting/maintaining)
  • Grasp of Non-FunctionalRequirements
  • SRE background isadvantageous
