AECOM are expandingtheir team and looking for a passionate Senior UrbanPlanner to join our Urbanism + Planning team andwork on transformative projects, drive sustainable development, andcreate resilient urbanlandscapes.
JobResponsibilities
- Manages,coordinates and leads smaller, less complex projects independentlywith less oversight. May lead smaller project client meetings andtake ownership of report structure andcontent.
- Coordinates teams to prepare projectsdeliverables and applicable planning authorities’requirements and coordinate with various disciplines technicalinput and output into a project or aproposal.
- Works with client planning team andis able to manage and negotiate project expectations anddeliverables independently and more complex ones withassistance.
- Initiates and drives innovativeapproaches to efficient project delivery. E.g. improved siteanalysis assessment or site planning, due diligence and high-leveldeveloper assessment.
- Has solid understandingof various scale of planning projects and determine differences andrequirements and communicates effectively.
- Hasthe ability to carry out baseline assessment, analyse various dataand develop criteria for the assessment of masterplans
- Has the ability to develop implementationand phasing planning
- Has sound understanding ofplanning / environmental governance and policy and can communicateplanning / environmental governance and policy and makerecommendations to clients where relevant.
- Hasstrong writing skills and ability to communicate the planning/environmental solutions concisely andsuccinctly.
- Prepares/reviews and understandsdatasets to correlate population projections against market demandsand supply.
- Prepares‘Methodology’ for small scale proposals withoutdirect supervision and able to understand and carry out thenecessary internal processes to obtain approvals for proposalsubmission.
- Leads speciality topics / interestsin urban planning e.g. wellness planning /placemaking
- Up to date with the currentindustry trends, approaches, tools andmethods
- Provides mentorship / coaching tograduate planners.
Qualifications
MinimumRequirements
- Minimum6 years of relevant experience in UrbanPlanning
- Bachelors degree inUrban Planning and design, urban policy, sustainabledevelopment orequivalent.
- Masters degreepreferred.
- Professional membership such asRTPI, AICP, PIA, CIP, SIP or equivalentpreferred.
