Amazon is seeking a highly analytical, meticulous and forward-thinking Senior Staff Accountant to become a key member of its Statutory Support Center based in Beijing. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Amazon corporate accounting teams across APAC to ensure high quality and timely deliverables in the statutory and financial compliance space. Strong organizational skills and information technology aptitude are essential.
Key job responsibilities
- Preparing various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs, including statutory close support, analytics and supplementary financial analysis;
- Supporting corporate accounting teams across APAC and globally in preparing statutory financial statements;
- Working closely with business partners across APAC and globally, to maintain efficient and compliant accounting processes;
- Identifying and establishing process improvements;
- Collaborating closely with Accounting and Technology teams to drive standardization and automation globally.
- Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting or related field
- 3+ years of finance experience
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Accountant certificates are preferred
