  • Participating in safety studiesand activities using risk assessment and mitigation methodologies,such as PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, incident investigations, compliancereviews, or insurance surveys.
  • Developingand/or reviewing corporate safety standards, instructions, andprocedures related to upstream operations, formalizing them intocompany-documented practices asrequired.
  • Reviewing designs of oil and gasfield facilities for compliance with company and industry safetystandards.
  • Assisting in the development ofEmergency Response Plans for credible scenarios, with a workingknowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS), and attendingemergency drills as an observer to providefeedback.
  • Responding to emergency situationsand incidents, providing technical assistance and advice during orafter regular working hours.
