  • Analyzing existing operations,crops, livestock, staff, and financial documents and recommendingimprovements.
  • Preparing plans and schedules forplanting and harvesting and ensuring staff understandsexpectations.
  • Visiting the different divisionsto inspect crops, livestock, and also perform tests on soil andwater.
  • Ensuring seeds, fertilizers, pesticides,and other supplies are regularlyrestocked.
  • Scheduling repairs, maintenance, andreplacement of equipment andmachinery.
  • Handling the marketing and sale ofproducts produced on the farm like fruit, vegetables, dairy, meat,and grain.
  • Ensuring all staff adheres to healthand safety regulations.
  • Assisting with therecruitment and training of new staffmembers.
  • Collaborating with senior staff toprepare budgets and financial reports.
  • Buildingprofessional networks and keeping abreast of developments inagricultural science.
