Art Direction and StyleGuidance

Deliver the seasonal design themesdirectional boards in line with global trends and home centrecustomer taste and commercial calendar (concept, colour paletteproduct direction, print direction, design briefsetc.)

Research and analyse actively the DesignWatch and its communication within the company (Exhibitionsreports, fairs, territory visits,etc.)

Facilitate the global trend directionand coordination through the Home Centre StyleGuide.

As a product designer for hard goods,your primary responsibility will be to create innovative andfunctional designs for various products.

Youwill work closely with buyers & manufacturers to developproducts that meet the needs of the target market. This involvesconducting market research, creating sketches and prototypes, andtesting the product for functionality anddurability.

Designer will be responsible forensuring that the products adhere to industry standards andregulations, also making necessary modifications to the design tomeet these standards.

To excel in this role,you will In terms of technical skills, proficiency incomputer-aided design (CAD) software is a must.. You must also havea good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes toensure that your designs are feasible andcost-effective.

Creativity is at the core ofproduct design, and as such, you must possess a strong sense ofaesthetics and be able to think outside the box. You should alsohave a good understanding of functional design and the ability todesign products that are user-friendly and visuallyappealing.

Conduct regular competitor andmiddle-east market analysis.

As a productdesigner, you will be working with a team, and the ability tocollaborate and communicate effectively is crucial for the successof the project.

ProductDesign

Deliver hard goods product design whichare feasible and commercially viable and aspirational in line withcustomer needs.

Prepare design briefs makingspecifications, product mock-ups, detailing the materials,measurements, techniques & components of each design inline with defined price points.

Effectivecoordination and close collaboration withfactories/suppliers/buyers for design selections, range buildingand product development.

Deliver high qualityand reliable deliverables following companystandards.

Ensure the achievement of thetimelines and departmental criticalpath.

Support the Commercial Team by givingclear styling direction and guidance on product development /coordination

JOBSPECIFICATION

Postgraduate or Diploma inProduct Design / Interior Design or equivalent-Technical andcreative skills. Additionally, a strong portfolio showcasing yourdesign skills and experience is crucial in landing a job as aproduct designer for hard goods.

Relevantexperience in home industry at least 10years Design &manufacturing experience in a multi-category from Home and formatretail set up. Middle-east specific experience is aplus.

Leadership and collaborationcapabilities required. High creativity skills (art direction,graphics, product curating, designdirection)

Excellent Knowledge about homewareproducts.

Professional skillset on designprocess and CAD tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote etc.)Detail oriented and excellent teamplayer.

Planning and Organizing skills. Goodtechnical knowledge on materials and processes during productdevelopment (hard goods ideally)
