  • Conducts inspections to determineif work has been done in accordance with contract specificationsand may include any of thefollowing:
  • Demolition of transportationfacilities (roads, utilities, streetsetc.)
  • Construction of roads, , and otherassociated improvements (curb and gutter, street, sidewalk,landscaping)
  • Drainage work, traffic control,compliance with SWPPP requirements
  • Irrigationand planting, roadway and overhead sign removal andinstallation.
  • Installation on temporary andpermanent signs and delineation
  • Taking projectphotographs on a daily basis and filing them

InAddition

  • Maintains office files related to theproject, quantity calculations and writes dailydiaries.
  • Prepares daily reports and otherdocumentation, as required by thecontract.
  • Performs labor compliance interviewsand maintains as-built plans.
  • Recognizespotential conflicts, issues and problems, and reports to supervisorwith proposed solution.
  • Collects, reviews andfiles Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and otherinformation relevant to the materialsused.
  • Coordinates work of subconsultants forsurveying and material testing.
  • Participates inthe development of job safety practices and in the preparation ofsafety reports.
  • Participates in the developmentof quality control reports andprocedures.
  • Reports on installed quantities toverify applications for payment and change orderwork.
  • Responds to the call backs in case ofemergency at the project site.
  • Performs otherresponsibilities associated with this position as may beappropriate.
