A career in Procurement within InternalFirm Services will provide you with the opportunity to develop andmanage the procurement of all goods and services required by PwCfor operational and strategic purposes. As a part of the team youllassist in developing our standard practices and complianceinfrastructure managing relationships for both internal clients andsuppliers to aid in the strategic selection of suppliers supplierdiversity and contract negotiations.Procurement sits within the centralisedFinance Function and is managed by the Director of Procurement theteam is responsible for the development of
procurementprocesses procedures strategy developmentimplementation/administration of procurement activitiesoptimisation of
procurement spend via categorymanagement as well as supporting the operational aspects of theagreement with the operations team and spend.
The Procurement Officer reports tothe Procurement Category Lead and is responsible for supporting theoptimisation of the category spend within the
operatingprocurement business stream. The team is the primary point ofcontact for cost review optimisation analysis tendering contractreview and
negotiation with key vendors across all spendcategories.
Followprocurement strategy set by team leadership focusing on highopportunity areas of spend and identifying challenging procurementspend
savings across the business
- Assist the Procurement Category Leadwith the management of category spend defining category strategiesworking to optimise the contract terms
- Supports the RFI / RFPprocesses within the spend categories including creation of scopesof work technical and commercial evaluation
position of / benefits PwCparticularly strategies for financial negotiations for allsignificant areas of spend with aim of achieving year on year
reductions in like for like spend
- Personallyembody company culture of longterm saving on procurement costsdrive ethos of regionalisation / centralisation of procurementspend
- Logsavings achieved across the procurement categories
- Ensureaccurate capture of procurement data to feed into Finance Systemse.g. LPOs etc ensuring meaningful and accurate data is collectedreconciled
- Bachelors Degree in Business AdministrationProcurement Supply Chain Logistics or related field required
- Fluency in written and spoken Englishproficiency in Arabic is an advantage
- No experience in aprocurement function
- Knowledge of CorporateProcurement principles
- Knowledge ofimplementing cost improvements
- Strong liaisonskills with the ability to maintain geographical relationships
- Excellent people management skills
- Ability to work within ateam and develop excellent relationships with coworkers
- Knowledge of the tenderevaluation process
- Ability to adhere to andimplement corporate procurement policies
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness indealing with external vendors
- Strong abilityto collaborate across functions
