JobSummary:

We are seeking a highlyskilled and motivated CFD Engineer specializing in Fire DynamicSimulation to join our team. The ideal candidate will possessexpertise in using advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD)tools to design and optimize atrium smoke management systems tunnelventilation and other fire safety measures. This role involvesassessing compliance with safety regulations performing RSET andASET calculations and modeling various fire dynamics scenariosincluding smoke propagation and the effects of fire suppressionsystems.
KeyResponsibilities:
Atrium Smoke DesignOptimization:
Develop and optimize smoke managementsystems for atrium spaces.
Perform simulations to ensureeffective smoke control and safe evacuation.
TunnelVentilation Design:
Design and analyze tunnel ventilationsystems for fire safety.
Conduct simulations to assessthe effectiveness of ventilation strategies during fireevents.
Compliance and Safety Assessment:
Identify and ensure compliance with safety regulations regardingtravel distances and evacuation routes.
Perform RSET(Required Safe Egress Time) and ASET (Available Safe Egress Time)calculations.
Fire Dynamics and Modeling:
Capable to Perform CFD modeling of fire dynamics gas dispersionsmoke propagation and fire suppression system effects.
Capable to analyze heat transfer and structural response duringfire events.
Mitigation Solutions Assessment:
Assess various fire mitigation solutions including passive fireprotection fixed fire suppression systems and mechanicalsystems.
Recommend effective mitigation strategies basedon simulation results.
Research and Data Interpretation:Research and interpret published studies technology data and firetest data related to alternative fuel cell technologies and firedynamics.
Stay updated with the latest advancements infire safety engineering.
Documentation andCommunication:
Document the design development andanalysis processes in detailed engineering reports presentationsand drawings.
Communicate findings and recommendationseffectively to the project team and clients.
EvacuationModeling:
Model pedestrian egress and evacuationscenarios to ensure safe and efficient evacuation during fireevents.
Analyze and optimize evacuation routes andstrategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Fire ProtectionEngineering or a related field.
Extensive experience withCFD tools such as FDS (Fire Dynamics Simulator) Pyrosis or similarsoftware.
Strong understanding of fire dynamics smokepropagation and fire suppression systems.
Proficiency inheat transfer and structural response modeling.
Knowledgeof safety regulations and standards related to firesafety.
Excellent analytical problemsolving andcommunication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively ina team environment and manage multiple projectssimultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with pedestrian egress and evacuation modeling softwaresuch as Pathfinder or STEPS.
Knowledge in Prescriptivecodes (model codes) & Experience in writing and reviewingtechnical reports and research papers.
