  • Candidates will typically have 7 years ofexperience in an investigative role involved in the production ofthreat intelligence for decisionmakers/customers and involved indirect customer support.
  • Experiencein an operational role involved in the research and writing ofthreat intelligence products fordecisionmakers/customers.

Preferredqualifications:
  • Experiencein using tools for analysis such as intrusion operations enterprisesecurity controls log analysis network flow and traffic analysisincident response processes cyber attack lifecycles andmodels.
  • Experience working in agovernment environment and with host and network forensic reportsof electronic media packet capture log data analysis malware triageand network.
  • Experience withmalware/security Google products and working in an investigative orincident response environment.
  • Experience inprogram management or business.
  • Understanding of core cybersecurity conceptscommon enterprise IT infrastructure components operating systeminternals and networking.
About thejob

As a Security Consultant you willbe responsible for helping clients effectively prepare forproactively mitigate and detect and respond to cyber securitythreats. Security Consultants have an understanding of computerscience operating system functionality and networking cloudservices corporate network environments and how to apply thisknowledge to cyber security threats.

As aSecurity Consultant you could work on engagements includingassisting clients in navigating technically complex and highprofileincidents performing forensic analysis threat hunting and malwaretriage. You may also test client networks applications and devicesby emulating the latest techniques to help them defend againstthreats and will be the technical advocate for information securityrequirements and provide an indepth understanding of theinformation security domain. You will also articulate and presentcomplex concepts to business stakeholders executive leadership andtechnical contributors and successfully lead complex engagementsalongside cross functional teams.


Mandiant Services provides incident response assessmenttransformation managed detection and response and training serviceswith direct tactical support.

The AdvancedIntelligence Analyst (AIA) program enables customers via an onsite(remote in some cases) Senior Analyst access to the totality ofMandiants Threat Intelligence to include raw data. Each SeniorAnalyst ensures the delivery of actionable intelligence to eachcustomers security or operational environments in order to drivedecision making and decisive action. The Senior Analyst also actsas a conduit to Mandiants extensive network of cyber securitythreat intelligence and information operations professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluatecurrent and emerging tools and bestpractices for tracking advancedpersistent threats; tools techniques and procedures (TTPs) ofattackers motivations industry and attacker trends.
  • Perform strategic tactical andoperational research and analysis of adversarial cyber threats.
  • Correlateintelligence to develop deeper understandings of tracked threatactivity.
  • Present tactical and strategic intelligence about threat groups themethodologies they use and the motivations behind their activity.
  • Prepare and deliverbriefings and reports to the clients executives security team orfellow analysts.
