Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' medicalhistory, symptoms, and perform physicalexaminations
  • Diagnose rheumatic diseases, suchas arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, and other autoimmunedisorders
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests,including blood work, imaging scans, andbiopsies
  • Develop individualized treatment plansbased on the patient's condition and medicalhistory
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, andlifestyle changes to manage symptoms and slow the progression ofthe disease
  • Monitor patients' progressand adjust treatment plans asnecessary
  • Collaborate with other healthcareprofessionals, such as physical therapists, occupationaltherapists, and orthopedic surgeons, to provide comprehensivecare
  • Educate patients and their families aboutrheumatic diseases, treatment options, and self-managementstrategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-datemedical records
  • Stay updated on the latestresearch, advancements, and best practices in the field ofrheumatology
  • Adhere to professional and ethicalstandards in patient care

Requirements

  • Medical degree and valid license topractice as a Rheumatologist
  • Residency trainingin Internal Medicine and Fellowship training inRheumatology
  • Board certification or eligibilityin Rheumatology
  • Proven experience in diagnosingand treating rheumatic diseases
  • Strongdiagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact withpatients and colleagues
  • Ability to workcollaboratively as part of a multidisciplinaryteam
  • Detail-oriented mindset and ability tomanage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Empathyand compassion towards patients and theirfamilies
  • Commitment to continuous learning andprofessional development
  • Ability to workeffectively under pressure and in a fast-pacedenvironment
