Senior Product Manager Job Description

Position: Senior Product Manager

Location: AbuDhabi

RolePurpose:
  • To lead and managethe performance of Home Finance and real estate in generalsproducts as per the banks strategy.
  • The BD willimplement strategy through the management of product financialsparameters process business development and marketingplans.
  • The Senior Product Manager will have endto end ownership of all aspects of the productperformance.
  • The Senior product manager is alsothe sole owner of the product manual which needs to be kept up todate. This document will include all aspects of the product withrequired policy and procedures andapprovals.

Responsibilities:

Financials:
  • Generating client leads to finance areal estate property.
  • Counseling customer onmarket conditions rates prices andmortgages.
  • Developing a competitive marketprice by comparing other competitivebanks.
  • Creating lists for real estate saleproperties with information location features square footageetc.
  • Building customer case with all requireddocuments as per ADIB TM/RAC.
  • Finalize dealswith customer for signing facility offer letter mortgage contractand other related documents.
  • Facilitatingnegotiations between buyers andsellers.
  • Reviewing purchase contracts to ensureterms are met.
  • Promoting properties with adslistings and open houses.
  • Preparing loyaltycontracts purchase agreements rental agreements deeds and otherdocuments for each real estatetransaction.
  • Maintaining your real estatelicense and knowledge.

Products:
  • Manageand prepare products (design development and enhancement) to ensurethat products are in line with the market needs. Takes the lead inproduct innovation and marketing.
  • To developand effectively cascade the banks management strategy into HomeFinance Department strategy and effectively translate it intobusiness plans products strategic initiatives marketing andbusiness development steps to ensure vertical alignment andhorizontal integration with other interfacing functionalstrategies.
  • Maintain product/credit programsand manuals up to date with necessary procedures and approvals.This document should cover all aspects of the product such asstrategic partnerships product description sales channelsdistribution third parties agreements lists of current businesspartners org charts financials special product memosetc.
  • Updating the product pricing documentperiodically reflecting market competitive position variation ofcost of funds and any other regulatoryeffects.
  • Maintaining a practical form ofproducts term sheets that can be used internally and externallywith business partners.
  • up on internal andSharia audit point and maintaining a log of closed and openeditems.

Policies SystemsProcesses & Procedures:
  • Documenting and keeping all productpolicies and procedures manuals updated. Also ensure that theseimplemented and tested by the units through a well documented keycontrols selfassessment process(KCSA).
  • Constantly working on enhancing thecurrent process by identifying gaps and rooms of improvementincluding technology WFS CRM systemsetc.
  • Obtaining Sharia Operations and Legalapproval when necessary on all P&Pchanges.
  • Set service level agreements byliaising with other internal departments like Credit Sharia LegalMPM and ensure best turnaround time for thecustomers.
  • Act promptly to either resolvedirectly or escalate to appropriate levels any unresolvedissues.
  • Act as customer service and experienceambassador by leading from thefront.

BusinessDevelopment:
  • Provide marketinelegance based on updated market scan and competitive position tofine tune business direction.
  • Transformstrategy into business partnerships with mortgage brokers RealEstate brokers developers evaluators land departments governmentprograms title transfer officers and solicitors through MOU signingprocess.
  • Following up on relative units anddepartments externally and internally to achieve the objectives ofstrategic partnerships.
  • Identify and suggestADIB participation in industry events and project financing such ascityscapes and IPS.
  • Initiate networking eventsand set an attractive agenda for the same such as the brokersevent.
  • Set up a training program for businesspartners internally and externally to introduce current productsand product enhancement with any majorpromotions.
  • Establish current channelsdistribution ratios and evaluate enhancement activities such asreferrals incentive and pay out onvolumes.

Marketing:
  • Workclosely with the marketing team to develop product collateral suchas FAQ flyers Customer application forms declaration forms productfeature flyers customer letters etc.
  • Work onenhancing and maintaining home finance microsite.
  • Establish and manage a product marketingplan throughout the year including ATL e marketing SEM IP targetingand others.
  • Initiate promotion plans based onthe product strategy such as radio ads street panels SMS campaignsTV ads in flight ads etc.

Results required:
  • Work closely with the head of productto cascade the budget to all the components of theproduct.
  • Monitor monthly product revenue andexpenditure against established budgets and understand/managevariances to budget and prior period.
  • Trackproduct performance on a monthly basis in order to ensure theachievement of our strategic financials objectives. Issue abusiness letter and implement a performancemetrics.
  • Prepare and renew product/creditprogram on a yearly basis that is aligned with the businessgoals.
  • Prepare and implement HF assets productstrategies plans and programs and to monitor product revenue andexpenditure against budget/targets.
  • Influencingstrategic business decisions on businesstargets.
  • Understand and remove the obstacles toproviding best in class customerexperience.
  • Work with Risk team to keep ADIB HFCredit Policies / programs parameter up todate.
  • Renew and maintain all policy changes andamends including Programs.
  • In charge of allanalytics and figures related to the portfolio including FTPCustomer Rate delinquencies.
  • Recommend pricing/ charges based on market scan and market analysis for each productto ensure that the recommended pricing strategy is consistent withthe product strategy.
  • Implement new productproposals and align policies procedures and process flow incoordination with Sharia Legal ITD ICD CRM WFO and Marketingdepartments.
  • Prepare operation manuals fororientation sessions for internal staff knowledge on new productsand new roles. Initiate of new process and review ofexisting process and enhancements by liaising and

  • Initiation of new SLAs andInternal memos with other departments.
  • Ensurecompliance of the Islamic banking products and coordinate the samewith the Bank Sharia Advisor.
  • Review ofexisting process upon issuance of any new laws or regulationsraised by the Bank or Central Bank.
  • Propose andmanage product communication and implement the same in line withthe Banks standard of communication through all the deliverychannels.
  • Develop the following sales channel:Mortgage and real estate brokers Governmental programDevelopers.
  • Prepare training programs to HF ROs/ RMs and orientations for ADIB newjoiners.
  • Responsible for liaising with SalesTLs / RMs and the Credit Department to achieve the maximum marketpenetration in our target customersegment.
  • Ensure ADIB maintenance of presenceamong industry partners with a strong offering and well deliveredproducts and services.
  • Strong ADIB presence andbrand
  • E channels are working for ADIB HFbusiness generations with taps and controls on eachchannel
  • Attract and reach new segments andmarkets that unreachable with traditional markettools.

Specialist Skills /Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
  • Bachelors degree in business withpreferably a specialization in Finance orAccounting.
  • 8 10 years relevant experience inthe banking sector.
  • Understand Real Estatemarket / industry dynamics and key drivers of change in marketconditions.
  • Good knowledge of UAE Bankingpractices regulations and risks.
