We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our estimation team for interior fit-out and joinery projects. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire estimation process, from initial tender inquiries to final contract pricing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for high-end interior fit-out projects.
  2. Manage the full tender process, including interpreting drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  3. Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for projects.
  4. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and suppliers to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
  5. Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure best value.
  6. Oversee cost control measures throughout the estimation process.
  7. Identify and propose value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets.
  8. Manage a team of estimators and ensure they produce accurate and timely estimates.
  9. Review and analyze contractor claims for accuracy.
  10. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
  11. Assist in establishing and maintaining company estimation policies and procedures.
  12. Work with sales to prioritize bids and ensure timely submissions.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in estimation for interior fit-out and joinery projects.
  2. Proven track record of delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  3. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and associated costs.
  4. Strong understanding of tender documentation and contract preparation.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., C-Soft, Candy, or any other tendering & estimation software).
  8. Leadership experience and the ability to manage a team.
