These issues include, but are not limited to: dataprivacy, data security, telecommunications, cybersecurity, andconsumer protection.In this role, you will serve as a point ofcontact to the Legislative Branch on issues important toFacebook’s mission. You will be responsible forunderstanding Facebook’s policies and businesspriorities, and for being able to communicate those to policymakersand stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate withcolleagues across the business and the globe, and engage withindustry trade associations and third-party groups. The idealcandidate will have established relationships and experienceworking at the federal level, with a focus on experience workingwith offices in the United States Senate.

USPublic Policy Manager Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and build relationships withpolicymakers
  • Cross-functionally work withinternal stakeholders such as legal, communications and the broaderpolicy team
  • Advocate, internally andexternally, policy positions that keep Meta and the broadertechnology industry competitive andinnovative
  • Represent Meta in meetings withpolicymakers and stakeholders
  • CommunicateMeta's positions to policymakers and to externalstakeholders
  • Identify, monitor and analyzerelevant policy trends, legislative proposals, and issues ofimportance to the company
  • Articulate our policypositions in briefing papers, consultation responses and internalpolicy meetings
  • Advise internal colleagues andteams on public policy matters to help guide development ofproducts, services and policies
  • Develop andexecute strategies for engaging with public policymakers aroundissues important to Facebook and the people we serve

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in PublicPolicy or related field
  • 7+ years of PublicPolicy experience
  • Knowledge of the legislativeprocess

PreferredQualifications:

  • JD orMPP
  • 2+ years of technology policyexperience
  • Hillexperience
