Job Overview Due to the continued growth of our Senior School, the Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai is seeking to recruit a passionate and dedicated Inclusion Teacher to join from August 2026. The successful candidate will be the Inclusion Teacher for either KS3 or KS4 , depending on areas of expertise and experience. Our Inclusion Teachers work closely with subject teachers, class teachers, specialist therapists, and families to deliver high-quality, personalised support across school. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Head Teacher for Inclusion (Whole School) and SENCO (Senior School) and will work closely with a team of Inclusion Teachers, LSAs and specialists. While each school is proudly unique, we share a collective purpose: “To help every student thrive in a rapidly evolving world.” Key Responsibilities: Targeted Student Support Provide small group and 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs, or those identified as requiring additional support. Deliver interventions in literacy, numeracy, language acquisition, and social skills, adapted to individual pupil profiles. Contribute to the planning and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans, and personalised learning goals. Collaboration and Co-Teaching Work alongside specialist teachers to co-plan, co-deliver, and co-assess personalised lessons and activities. Offer practical strategies for adapting curriculum content, learning activities, and assessments to meet individual needs. Participate in team-teaching and guided group instruction to support inclusive classroom environments. Data and Progress Monitoring Maintain accurate records of student targets, progress, and outcomes using school systems. Use formative and summative assessment data to evaluate impact and inform next steps in provision. Contribute to pupil progress meetings and annual reviews, offering insights and recommendations based on ongoing observations and assessments. Parent and Professional Partnerships Communicate regularly with parents/carers regarding student progress and strategies for support at home. Attend parent meetings, reviews, and workshops to strengthen the school-home partnership. Collaborate with external therapists and specialists to implement support recommendations and follow up on student needs. Professional Development and Inclusive Practice Engage in, and contribute to, CPD on topics such as SEND, adaptive teaching, and inclusive pedagogy. Support the school's inclusive ethos and play an active role in raising awareness and understanding of neurodiversity and learning differences. The Ideal Candidate: Education and Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong background as an Outstanding practitioner within a Senior or Secondary School. Further qualifications or training in SEND, such as the National Award/NPQ for SEN Coordination. Evidence of ongoing professional development in inclusive education. Experience: Experience in supporting students with a range of special educational needs. Familiarity with UK curriculum expectations and inclusive practices aligned with the KHDA Inclusive Education Framework. Experience planning and delivering individualised interventions and contributing to IEPs and pupil reviews. Experience in supporting neurodivergent students for GCSE/iGCSE examinations. Skills and Attributes: Warm, compassionate, and student-focused approach with a deep understanding of child development. Strong collaboration and communication skills with both adults and children. Proactive, flexible, and solutions-focused; able to adapt strategies to meet diverse learner needs. Committed to continuous improvement and a belief that all children can succeed.
