To carry out routinemaintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft as percompany and associated regulatoryprocedures.

  • Generic
  • Carry outaircraft maintenance and servicing tasks in compliance withmanufacturer and safety procedures. Ensure that assignedzones/aircraft are maintained as per latest revisions of approvedauthority Technical Publications such as Aircraft documentation,Technical Notices, Quality Notices, and Engineering ProceduresManual etc. Ensure that personal approvals/licences are valid andapplicable to aircraft types.
  • Ensure alloff-aircraft tasks i.e. spares handling, robberies, hold items etc.are handled in compliance with company procedures and that theassociated paperwork is complete to ensure full transparency.Determine if tooling/equipment used is serviceable and appropriatefor the task and use specialised tooling where required. Ensurethat trouble shooting procedures/tools used for fault rectificationare carried out in a cost effective and efficientmanner.
  • Carry out component changes asnecessary as part of trouble shooting process and/or as directed byimmediate supervisor. These should be done in accordance with AMM,IPC or other manufacturer/vendor documentation to complete thetask.
  • Ensure that all activities performed arecarried out in accordance with all safety rules and regulations andin adherence to company procedures, highlighting andeficiencies/requirements (whether for aircraft or hangar use)through the effective use of reporting tools in support of theoverall quality improvement process and actively participate inpropagating and enhancing the Group safety culture. Ensure all worklocations are kept clean and excellent housekeeping conditions aremaintained.
  • Maintain effective communicationwith Colleagues including Managers and Senior Engineers to ensure aseamless flow of information and to highlight any potentialoperational issues. Ensure that relevant reports are related toservice delays, incidents and accidents are completed in detailincluding the identification of issues that led to the event sothat rectification can be sought through short term maintenanceplanning.
  • Manage the performance of staff usingperformance review process and system. Ensure SMART goal setting,interim/annual reviews and development plans are in place forassigned staff members in accordance with companyprocedures.
  • Attend training/recurrent modulesas required to enhance skills and comply with CAR 145 requirements.Ensure approvals are obtained within 3.5 months of completion ofcourse.
  • Be available for deployment anywherewithin the EK operation, including diversionary airfields to assistin recovery process of an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) and/or aircraftcomponent manufacturer facilities to act as an EK rep to overseefinal assembly Emirates aircraft, supervise outsource maintenancework and assist in the acceptance/delivery process.

  • Aeronauticalsubjects/Mechanical/Avionics/Electronic/Tech Engineering orMaintenance Engineering Licence.
  • 5+ yearsexperience in Engineering as a certifying staff Knowledge/skills: -Minimum of 2 aircraft type approvals - Fully conversant with AirLegislation and legal matters that relate to the operation andmaintenance of aircraft to international standards EFTA (EmiratesFlight Training Academy).
  • Must have UAEGCAA/ICAO Type II/EASA Part 66 license rated in B1.1 and/or B1.2categories, and/or B2 category, in addition to company approvals.Rating in at least 1 EFTA aircraft type desirable, plus 9+ years?experience in aviation maintenance.
