  • Produce Technical Safetyengineering deliverables required for project execution and changemanagement updates to existing assets.
  • AssistLead Technical Safety Engineer to assess risks qualitatively& quantitatively, to aid in engineeringdecisions.
  • Assist Lead Technical SafetyEngineer on Fire Protection and Safety Engineering issues foroffshore and onshore installations.
  • Provideinput to DPE safety engineering philosophies, safetyspecifications, equipment specifications and monitorcontractor/vendor compliance to these.
  • Proposeengineering solutions to safety issues on existing onshore/offshoreinstallations or within Greenfield engineering design to improvesafety.
  • Deliver the safety studies required toensure that projects and change proposals carried out for Assetsare compliant with DPE requirements and regulatoryobligations.
  • Support Project Engineers todefine philosophies and deliverable requirements for newprojects.
  • Evaluate proposals from contactorsand vendors when necessary.
  • Participate insafety assessments like Hazard Identification Studies('HAZID'), Hazard and Operability Study('HAZOP'), SIL/LOPA assessmentsetc.
  • Carry out in-house fire and gas radiationand dispersion calculations using DNV Phast and SoftbitsFlaresim.
  • Assist in the coordination ofexternal specialist consultants' safety studies such asQuantitative Risk Assessment ('QRA'), Fire andExplosion Assessment ('FERA') and Emergency, Escapeand Rescue Assessment('EERA').
  • Carryout active andpassive fire protection assessments including, but not limited to,fire protection philosophies, fire water demand schedules, firewater adequacy checks, hydraulic calculations using PIPENETspray/sprinkler/transient modules and have the ability to developperformance monitoring procedures for all SCE relatedequipment.
  • Produce drawings and purchasingdocumentation for firefighting and safety relatedequipment.
  • Carry out Hazardous AreaClassification updates to drawings and schedules in accordance withIEC/EI standards
