Rotables Controller

- Partners with the“Planning Engineer” to prepare service ordersfor the components planned and scheduled for repair as per approvedstandards; coordinates with service providers to ensure timely andproper repair of the identified components using available suitablereporting tools.
- Maintains an up-to-datedatabase of all “Rotables” components to followup on repair with service providers at the earliest, controls the“Rotables” pool of components and ensures theunused or unserviceable components are sent back to pool to meetcore return deadlines.
- Coordinates with“Warranty Engineer” to prepare necessarywarranty documents to ensure the “TAT -Turn AroundTime” of the components as per agreed terms andconditions, also intimates him/her with details whenever exploringpossibilities of warranty claims.
- Coordinateswith “Stores” and “QualityAssurance” to finalize the list of expired componentsbased on the shelf-life details; takes necessary action to replacethose items immediately within approved budget and therebymaintains an optimized stock level of thesame.
- Conducts necessary cost-benefit analysisto evaluate repairs and recommend actions; advises the“Technical Procurement/Stores Supervisor” withlist of the vital parts to be scrapped or deemed as “BER-Beyond Economical Repair “promptly in order to allowmaintaining float spares consequently.
- Providesthe “Stores Supervisor” with weekly shortagesreport of the consignment stock whilst ensuring he/she is kept wellinformed with any received damaged components ifany.
- Liaises with the freight/courierservices companies regarding the various kinds of shipments(including dangerous goods); negotiates shipment services pricesand formalities; prepares necessary shipping documents andapprovals to ensure timely and safe transportation (export/import)of all items.
- Manages the packing formalitiesand preparations through the designated service provider as peragreed standards and requirements to avoid damages and hazardsincluding the packing and shipment of aircraft engines. Documentsthe shipments condition by taking necessary pictures and keepingrecords of the same.
- Maintains necessarydatabase of contracts, SLAs, and certifications of all theappointed vendors ensuring validity and renewal of contracts incompliance with the Quality Assurance, GCAA and other regulatorybodies’ requirements. Contributes the vendor’sassessment and evaluation process by giving objective input ontheir performance.
- Maintains up-to-date recordsboth in system and files of all documentation related to thereturned components to be referred to wheneverneeded.
- Conducts necessary risk assessment toidentify any health and safety hazards and report the same toconcerned; takes necessary corrective measures to ensureno-re-occurrence.
- Coordinates with the“Technical Buyers” on any aircraft parts“robbery” formalities to take place in case ofAOG and as needed.
- Takes necessary action toarrange for gate passes for trucks/vehicles used for transportingtires from/to Air Arabia allocatedpremises.
