JobDescription


Were looking for aConceptual Editor / Animator who can bring narratives products andexperiences to life through footage and simple motion design. Thiscreative is obsessed with combining footage audio animation copyand photography to create impactful stories and content. Everythingfrom strong manifesto videos and branded films to simple socialcontent edits TIKTOKs and Instagram Reels.

Theproject mockup is the Conceptual Editor / Animators blueprint.Designing it usually involves brainstorming sessions with othercreatives such as Art Directors Copywriters Multi Media Designerand more to decide upon the creative direction of a givenproject.

The Conceptual Editor / Animator spendmost of their time using the tools found in the Adobe CreativeSuite and has ability to research and discover pieces of footagefrom any given place and combine them into a strong narrative witha consistent look and feel.

Being at the centerof ideation and output the Conceptual Editor / Animator bases editson input and feedback from internal and external sstakeholders inthe creative process the first version of something often variessignificantly from the final version.

In summary: The Conceptual Editor / Animator isresponsible for editing and animating a narrative / storyline. Theyconduct several hours of meticulous research to make consistentnarratives in edit compositions and color while ensuring an edit inprecise and impactful play with audio.

Responsibilities andexpectations

  • Successfullyexecutes projects within established budgets and time frames onstrategy and per client.
  • Partners effectivelywith other creatives and across agency multidisciplinaryteams
  • Resourceful researcher; has their fingeron the pulse of the creative industry and the visual and audiospace.
  • Constant learner and student of newediting trends motion trends and technologies
  • Augment and develop creative techniques research and incorporatenew technology
  • Will develop an indepthunderstanding of client requirements to properly coordinate andguide clients through the creative process
  • Edit design and animate individually or as part of a team dependingon project needs.
  • Collaborate and share ideaswith the creative and production teams.
  • Deliver simple visual photographicstoryboards

CoreSkills

  • Experience withtaking a written manifesto / brief and turning it into an impactfulvisual and audio story that portrays the essence of a givenconcept
  • Skilled in the latest version of theAdobe Creative Suite
  • Applicable knowledge ofAfter Effects
  • Produce looktests based onprovided reference materials and create moodboards / projectmockups that outline the thinking and inspires the finaledit
  • Strong editing capabilities and a greateye for graphic design.
  • Experience with sounddesign and an obsession in making audio and video play meticulouslytogether. The right energy in every edit iskey.
  • A holistic understanding of all elementsthat go into any given project and the ability to create a strongcase study that in a simple manner brings the gist and entirety ofproject to life
  • Basic productionskills
  • Comfortable on both Mac and PCOS
  • Promote consistency within projects filesand folder structures
  • Happy to work withintight timelines
  • Great communicator bringquestions and ideas to the forefront
  • A strongsense of initiative work ethic and team spirit isparamount
  • Work within the project requirementsand production deadlines to complete all tasks
  • Organizational skills and the ability to integrate with thecompanys organizational standards
  • Nice tohave: Experience with 3D tools such as Cinema4D

Qualifications
  • Strongworking knowledge of current editing styles across a variety ofplatforms. From traditional platforms such as Youtube and TV to themore contemporary platforms such as TIKTOK and InstagramReels.
  • 4 years experience
  • Must provide a portfolio of work that showcases your talents inediting simple animation and motion graphics
  • Experience working with various design styles from photoreal andhighly stylized videos to simple illustrativevideos.
  • Working knowledge of the software andhardware used in the postproduction process
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment and takedirection
