Urologistduties and responsibilities

●Documenting and reviewing patients'histories.

● Ordering, performing, andinterpreting diagnostic tests.

● Usingspecialized equipment, such as X rays, fluoroscopes, andcatheters.

● Performing abdominal, pelvic, orretroperitoneal surgeries when necessary.

●Prescribing and administering antibiotics, antiseptics, orcompresses to treat infections or injuries.

●Providing Urology consultations or referring patients tospecialists.

● Directing nurses, residents, orotherstaff.

Requirements

 

 

​Urologistrequirements and qualifications

●A Medical degree and the successful completion of a residency andfellowship in urology.

● A state license andcertification to practice urology.

● The abilityto keep updated on the latest medicaltechnologies.

● The flexibility to work irregularhours and remain on emergency call.

● Strongdecision-making, problem-solving, and analyticalskills.

● Good communication and interpersonalskills.

● Good team working, leadership, andorganizationalskills.
