USExtracurricular and Leadership Project Advisor:

As a CrimsonExtracurricular and Leadership (ECL) Advisor youd be working withstudents to strategize and develop a personalized leadershipproject that demonstrates their interests ingenuity and initiative.The leadership project is a vital component of their collegeapplication process. The core responsibility of an Advisor will beto guide and mentor the student on how to execute their CapstoneProject. Advisors will also guide students with the scalingup oftheir Capstone Projects as well as ensuring their projects areimpactful within a community.

Our advisors arepaired on a studentbystudent basis with the control to accept ordecline students as the mentors schedules allow. This provides ouradvisors with abilities to manage their schedule around othercommitments. The minimum hours required is 5 hours per week andadvisors are obligated to remain with students until their projecthas come to a close. Allocations are made on the basis of subjectcompatibility meaning that you will be working with students hopingto pursue a project in an area similar to your own expertise.Popular project types and subject areasinclude:

• Nonprofit/communityservice

• Entrepreneurship/Startups

• Computer Science

• Engineering (mechanical electrical chemicaletc)

• Physics

• Biology and MedicalSciences

• Law

• Performance Theater and FineArts

If you have askillset a strong educational background or professional profilethat matches the above areas and you have a passion for educationand mentorship youd likely be a great candidate for ECL AdvisingAdditional qualities of an ideal ECL Advisor include strong projectmanagement and organizational skills ability to work remotely andindependently withan attention to detail and fantastic written andverbal communicationskills.

ServiceExpectations:

As a provider of thestandard ECL Service you will be expected to provide students withguidance and support as it relates to their capstone leadershipprojects. Core responsibilities include:

• Supporting students with development andultimately submitting a Capstone Leadership Project Proposal andCompletion Form
  

• Developing a project management plan for yourstudents capstone leadership project and conducting biweekly tomonthly sessions aligningwith your own scheduleto aid the studentin the execution of the project

• Remaining with paired students until completionof their project.

• Liaisingwith the ECL Admin team and the student Strategist to ensure thatthe students capstone leadership projectis on track and theirexperience is satisfactory

Compensation

Thestarting rate for standard ECL mentorship is dependent on yourprevious professional experience and expertise as well anyeducational experience one can bring such as having completed yourown topcollege application. You will be paid for the session timeyou spend with your students. Please note that a standard one hoursession will also include approximately:

• 15 minutes of preparationtime

• 10 minutes filling outa session summary

• Apotential 1015 minutes of follow up or research on behalf of yourstudent
