JobOverview:

The Senior ProductionEngineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or externalissues to improve the production discipline within McDermott. Theywill act as a resource for colleagues with less experience andshare their conceptual and practical expertise related to theproduction discipline. The Senior Production Engineer solvescomplex problems and uses their disciplinespecific knowledge toimprove their products or services. The Senior Production Engineerimpacts a range of customer operational project or serviceactivities with the production team and other related teams andensures that they are working within the appropriate guidelines andpolicies.

Key Tasks andResponsibilities:

• Supervisediscipline production engineer including identification ofproduction engineer resource needs for the project andcommunication of these regularly to the DivisionProduction
• Understand the full contractualscope of work contract type and milestone schedule managing theprogress and reporting on the project
• Reviewconstructability and ensure the work plan is based on the mostproductive option
• Responsible for fabrication4WLA including the prioritization of materials and drawings to suitand chairing the production 4WLA and forecast fabrication andengineering requirements to meet the project contractschedule
• Responsible for initiating andapproving all revisions orders and change orders ensuringincorporation into the global lessons learneddatabase
• Solve technical problems and initiatesite queries to ensure work disruption is minimized andproductivity is optimized
• Chair the weeklyproject production meeting managing the projects weekly fabricationprogress and productivity and ensure is withinbudget
• Manage any scope of work changes andensure AFC estimate is up to date and that revision and changeorders are initiated
• Appraise fabricationmanagement of any project issues that affect the forecastedprogress productivity and schedulecommitments
• Develop a work pack index and setpriorities and deliverable dates for the disciplineteams
• Direct the discipline groups with allmaterial ordering priorities and schedule dates to suit thefabrication sequence
• Review material expeditingreports and advise procurement personnel of any concerns andmitigation plans as necessary
• Authorizetechnical queries/correspondence to be issued to theclient
• Direct the discipline groups with allengineering deliverable priorities to satisfy project andcontractual requirements
• Develop a projectfabrication plan that satisfies the contract requirements mostproductively
• Interface with other key projectpersonnel such as project cost engineer marine operations engineerquality manager
• Lead project constructabilityprogram effort for fabrication
• Lead theDiscipline Production Engineering team Drafting Squad LeadersMaterial Controllers etc. to meet project fabricationrequirements
• Manage inter/intrafunctionalinterfaces at the discipline level for the fabrication portion ofthe project with minimal guidance
• Responsiblefor optimal utilization and development of the discipline teamigned on the project
• Elish a productive workingrelationship with Project Superintendents & Supervisions toensure meeting the Fabrication Targets
• Ensurenecessary doentation and compliance with procedural requirementsthroughout the project phases
• Interface fordisciplinelevel requirements with key project personnel fromvarious functions like Engineering SCM Quality Cost control MarineOperations hookup up etc. to meet priorities and schedule dates forproject fabrication requirements
• Attendexpediting meetings to communicate material delivery prioritiesreview and communicate Marine deliverables requirements to meetfabrication plan/ sequence
• Manage disciplinelevel project fabrication progress within schedule and productivitywithin targeted budget in coordination with project OperationsEngineer
• Support project Operation Engineer tomanage inter/intrafunctional interfaces and project reportingrequirements like AFC estimate review subcon coordination projectstatus reporting developing fabrication sequence conductingconstructability reviews etc.
• Lead projectconstructability reviews on a discipline level including resolutionof construction problems with intra/ inter functioninterfaces
• Understand the overall project scopeof work to lead and guide the discipline production engineeringteam to meet project fabrication deliverables in line with thefabrication sequence/ schedule
• Support theFabrication Bid coordination efforts on igned Bid projectssupporting the Fab Bid Coordinator
• Lead theDiscipline Production Engineering team Drafting Squad LeadersMaterial Controllers etc. to meet project fabricationrequirements
• Technically capable ofstrategizing and delivering disciplinelevel fabrication efforts forcomplex EPIC projects
• Manageinter/intrafunctional interfaces at the discipline level for thefabrication portion of the project with minimalguidance
• Responsible for optimal utilizationand development of the discipline team igned to theproject
• Understand the overall project scope ofwork to lead and guide the discipline production engineering teamto meet project fabrication deliverables in line with thefabrication sequence/schedule
• Manage disciplinelevel project fabrication progress within schedule and productivitywithin targeted budget in coordination with project OperationsEngineer

Essential Qualifications andEducation:

• Bachelors Degreein Engineering
• 5 years offshore andPetrochemical Industry
• Expertise in productionengineering and optimization techniques
• Strongknowledge of industry standards and best practices related toproduction processes and facilities
• Proventrack record in leading multidisciplinary teams and managinglargescale projects
• Excellent problemsolving sswith the ability to address complex technicalchallenges
• Proficiency in relevant software andtools related to productionengineering
• Technically capable of strategizingand delivering disciplinelevel fabrication efforts for complex EPICprojects
