  • To carry out materials andcorrosion engineering work within a project team, supporting theproject team for field development of oil & gas productionfacilities
  • To plan, organize and control thematerials and corrosion engineering deliverables for theproject
  • To manage and respond to clientrequirements
  • To support Front End Studies Teamactivities, including early feasibility assessments, earlydiscussions/opportunity framing workshops, identification of earlylong lead items and materials requirements
  • Whennot engaged in Studies Team activities, provide materials andcorrosion engineering support for engineering and procurementactivities that fall under the deliveryteams
  • To prepare materials and corrosionengineering deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industryand ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codesand standards as well as the Client’s policies andprocedures
  • To ensure that all work is completedwithout compromise to quality and is delivered according to theproject schedule
  • To provide direction andguidance on materials and corrosion engineering technical queriesraised by either internal or externalparties
  • To liaise with the Client’sEngineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensurea consistent approach to project completion
  • Topromote safe behavior at all times
  • Interfacingwith key disciplines to ensure corrosion threats are identified andmanaged for all equipment
  • Developing anddefining corrosion management plan and corrosion design basismemorandum for all equipment
  • Involve andparticipate in risk analysis assessment of HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, RBI,etc.
  • Focal point for corrosion monitoringprovider (coupons, probes), providing management interface andcompiling and interpretingresults
  • Troubleshooting / technical assessmentfor corrosion / erosion or other similar damage modes on an ad-hocbasis
  • Input into Asset Integrity ManagementSystem programs requiring corrosionmanagement
  • Prepare/review materials andcorrosion deliverables, including; material selection philosophy,material selection report, material selection diagrams (MSDs),corrosion monitoring philosophy, specifications for painting andcoating, internal lining, cladding, fire proofing, thermalinsulation, sour service, welding and NDT and cathodicprotection
  • Support Client RBI works as helpinghand for Client Materials and CorrosionTA
  • Perform fabrication shop inspections forvarious types of static/pipeline/skid packageequipment
  • Address fabrication stage methodstatements, NCRs, TQs from vendors
  • Definetesting and check points, QA/QC steps for procurement, fabricationand construction
  • Support workpack preparationto ensure all the fabrication and inspection details are coveredfor special alloys or non-metallics materials likeHDPE/GRE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree inengineering or equivalent from an accredited university with aminimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in theOffshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5)years (preferred) in GCC region
  • Must have atleast five (5) years of experience in similar position in a megaOil & Gas or Petrochemicalprojects
  • Offshore experience is must, whilstADNOC experience is desired.
  • Knowledge ofengineering computer programs and general businesssoftware
  • Experience of working in a multi -project / multi - disciplined environment and throughout allengineering and design phases ofprojects
  • Previous experience of working in theMiddle East would be anadvantage
