The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless execution of construction activities by maintaining strict adherence to design drawings, technical specifications, and quality control protocols. This position demands a hands‑on professional with a proven track record in commercial fit‑out, civil works, and joinery finishes, capable of managing on‑site operations with precision and accountability. The Site Engineer will serve as a critical link between project management, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with safety standards, and overall project excellence. With a strong command of construction methodologies and a commitment to quality, this role is essential to the successful delivery of complex commercial developments in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Supervise daily on‑site construction activities, ensuring alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to construction standards. Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and trade teams, including joinery, plumbing, electrical, and finishing works. Maintain accurate as‑built records, progress reports, and daily site logs. Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements prior to execution. Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, providing actionable solutions to prevent delays. Ensure compliance with local UAE construction codes, health & safety regulations, and project‑specific quality management systems. Liaise with project managers, architects, and consultants to resolve design discrepancies and implement changes efficiently. Monitor material delivery and storage to prevent wastage and ensure timely availability. Facilitate site meetings, progress reviews, and client walkthroughs, providing clear and concise updates. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). 4–5 years of progressive experience in construction, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in commercial construction projects within the UAE. Proven experience in managing fit‑out, civil, and joinery finishes on large‑scale commercial developments. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Excellent knowledge of quality control, health & safety standards, and local UAE building regulations. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar). Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a consistent on‑site presence. Valid UAE work permit and residency visa (if applicable).
