SUMMARY:The primary purpose of this position is toassist customers with their health care needs by fillingprescriptions, providing clinical services and excellent customerservice while supervising Pharmacy associates. Frequent independentjudgments are essential. All duties described in this document areto be performed in keeping with the core values and serviceattributes consistent with the Rite Aid brand and strategy. Theassociate is responsible for the functions below, in addition toother duties as assigned:

Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filledby completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance,applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Build profitable business and script growth through recommendedclinical programs including appropriate immunization and whenavailable MTM (Medication Therapy Management), DCS (Diabetes CareSpecialist), and all ongoing other programs as identified.

Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers withmedical-related issues and providing healthcare counseling.Supervise the work completed by support staff while on duty.

Assist with training, coaching, and managing the pharmacyassociates and assume management responsibility over the entirepharmacy as needed.

Maintain appropriate security of the Pharmacy department.

Comply with HIPAA and all other applicable federal and state lawsand regulations.

Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints and questions tobuild customer trust and loyalty.

Interact with physicians and utilize reference material to gaininformation on customers and prescriptions and to resolve anyissues that arise.

Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it cleanand in order.

Prioritize pharmacy Department tasks and follow through to ensureall tasks are completed in a timely manner. Including, but notlimited to, cycle counts, inventory management and will-calls tocustomers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree (BS/BA) in Pharmacy or Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.)

Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state for whichthey are applying

Active Immunization Certification (through an accreditedorganization : i.e. APhA)

Active CPR and AED BLS Certificate (from an in-person livetraining)

National Provider Identifier (NPI) Number

Fully vaccinated

Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of thebusiness

Ability to get to and from store locations, especially iffloating
