Learning Development Manager

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the Learning and Development strategy in alignment with the organization's goals. This role plays a key part in cultivating a culture of continuous growth and innovation within Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment.
ROLE PROFILE
- Support the expansion and growth of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment across the region through tailored Learning and Development initiatives.
- Design, develop, and deliver new training programs and initiatives for the business, while managing the activities of junior Learning and Development team members.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) by collaborating with leadership to identify skills gaps and provide effective solutions to enhance employee competencies.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate training programs that improve employee performance across all levels of the organization, contributing to overall business success.
- Oversee the management of training systems, content, and materials, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with business objectives.
- Facilitate ongoing training programs and develop content for departmental heads and management to build leadership and functional expertise.
- Ensure consistency in the quality of training programs, materials, and initiatives across the business.
- Track, report, and analyze the progress of training initiatives, managing vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in training & development, Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
- 6-7 years of experience in HR, with a focus on Learning & Development.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing and leading a skilled team.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and instructional design tools like Articulate 360 and Canva.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, tools, and methodologies to create effective learning materials and programs.
- Proficiency in Arabic is required for communication across the region.
Strategic Planning
- Training Needs Analysis : Identifying skill gaps and learning requirements.
- Program Design : Developing learning strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Goal Setting : Establishing measurable outcomes for L&D initiatives.
Instructional Design
- Curriculum Development : Creating engaging and effective training materials.
- Blended Learning Approaches : Combining in-person training with e-learning, webinars, and self-paced modules.
- Content Customization : Tailoring training programs to specific roles or teams.
Facilitation and Training
- Workshop Delivery : Leading interactive sessions to engage learners.
- Coaching and Mentoring : Guiding employees to achieve their development goals.
- Presentation Skills : Delivering clear, impactful training content.
Technology Proficiency
- Learning Management Systems (LMS) : Using platforms like Moodle, Cornerstone, or Workday.
- E-Learning Tools : Familiarity with tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or Canva for creating digital content.
- Analytics Tools : Measuring training effectiveness using data-driven insights.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Team Leadership : Managing L&D teams and coordinating with trainers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Working with HR, department heads, and executives.
- Change Management : Supporting employees during organizational transitions.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Engagement : Building rapport with employees to understand their learning needs.
- Feedback Mechanisms : Collecting and acting on feedback to improve training programs.
- Stakeholder Communication : Presenting L&D outcomes and strategies to leadership.
Adaptability and Innovation
- Continuous Improvement : Staying updated with the latest learning trends and methodologies.
- Creative Solutions : Developing innovative ways to make learning engaging.
