This is a Senior technical role basedin our Abu Dhabi office which will contribute to the delivery ofengineering excellence through:

  • Process and ProductionOptimization

U tilisingexpert technical knowledge in the execution of engineeringassignments to identify innovative solutions to complex problemsand complete project tasks with little to no guidance anddirection. Provides consultative direction and serve as theDiscipline Technical Authority on several complex projectssimultaneously.

Conceive, develop, andevaluate plans and criteria for solving a variety of unique andcomplex engineering problems. Assesses feasibility and soundness ofproposed engineering solutions.

Be a seniorstaff specialist who is recognised as an expert in theories andprinciples of the professional field, as demonstrated bysignificant accomplishments andcontributions

Drives excellence in theexecution and delivery.

  • Responsible for ensuring DigitalConsulting services are delivered to the highest technicalstandards.
  • Continuous promotion of andadherence to the discipline specific procedures and providingfeedback for continuous improvement.
  • Managementof key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of engineeringprojects.
  • Support the development and deliveryof the technical competence framework.

Providing disciplineexpertise.

  • Exercisesconsiderable credibility, foresight, and judgement in conceiving,planning, and delivering initiatives.
  • Uses deepprofessional knowledge and acumen to advise functionalleaders.
  • Works with project groups as an experttechnical advisor on designs, processes, and engineeringmethods
  • Solves problems requiring applicationof research data in own and allied professional disciplines;exercises mature business judgment in devising practical,economical solutions
  • Establishes the need forinvestigation and research and participates in the development oflongrange plans and project goals.
  • Representdiscipline on contract / project / serviceline.
  • Perform the role of Technical Authoritywhen appointed to do so.
  • Proactively supportsthe introduction of innovation, new ideas and practices to improveoverall performance

  • Contributes tolong-range strategic plans for thegroup.
  • Contributes to business developmentthrough regular engagement, relationship building and delivery toclients, as well as identifying and pursuing opportunities toexpand scope of work for Wood.
  • Represents thecompany as a thought-leader at conferences and other publicevents.

ManagingOthers

  • Supporting andsupervising tasks delegated to directreports.
  • Provides technical guidance anddirection to less experienced staff.
  • Managementof key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contractedactivities. Provides coaching and mentoring for less experiencedstaff, supports the development and retention of motivated andcompetent people.
  • Directs work assignments,scheduling, and reviews of work inprogress.
  • Manage a portfolio of small projects,with responsibility for cost, schedule, resource allocation andrisk.
  • Supervises delivery of consultancyprojects.
  • Provide appropriate HSSE leadershipincluding compliance with site and office safety requirements andtechnical/design safetyrequirements.
  • Significant experience(>15 years) working in the on- and offshore petrochemicalindustry.
  • Demonstrable technical leadershipexperience in specialist field and engineering projectmanagement.

Qualifications

  • Suitable engineering degree andeducation from a recognised Academic institution. Masters/PhD levelis desirable.
  • Chartership, ProfessionalEngineer (PE) status or equivalent relevant professionallicense/registration from a recognized national or industryengineering institution isexpected.
